With everyone going ga-ga over the RS 6 Avant (even us with our Audi Club RS 6 Avant Sweepstakes), we may tend to look over Avants of the past. Now while this may not be a twin turbo monster nor as a desirable color as Nogaro Blue but this B7 has something the RS 6 Avant doesn’t…a manual transmission. Here’s the ad:
Ok, normally I would copy/pasta the vehicle description here but the dealer just has a standard list of features and options on this Avant. I will tell you this; it’s Dolphin Grey with a black interior, it has 140,000 miles on it, and did I mention it’s a manual?
It looks bone stock and according to the accident-free CarFax, it’s lived its whole life in the Northeast with 3 different owners. And with no description other than a list, we do not know what maintenance has been done to it and the 4.2 V8. This Avant is listed for $17,500…not knowing the current market on B7 S4 Avants, would you think this is a good price? As a long roof lover myself, I wouldn’t mind dipping my toes into 4.2 V8 ownership especially mated to a manual 6sp transmission.
