Find of the Day: 1998 Audi A4 quattro STW Conversion

When I 1st saw this car, I immediately flashed back to playing Gran Turismo. Those rings graphics sweeping up the side of the car is just so nostalgic. The Audi A4 quattro Super Tourer dominated in the short time it ran. It was so successful that ballast was added and added and added. The 4-cylinder wasn’t as powerful as its rivals but the all-wheel drive powered the Audi A4 to victory after victory. After a couple of years, organizers banned all-wheel drive and Audi retired the car leaving us to ‘drive’ the car in video games…until this conversion popped up. Here’s the ad (translated from German):

Conversion of an A4 Quattro to 20 V Turbo technology with DTM STW optics.

The vehicle is a complete conversion!

The basis was an A4 B5 Quattro with V6 2.6 l from 1998 with only 105,000 km verifiable. Conversion carried out by Quattros GmbH in Wittlich. Known for the quality of such conversions or restorations, as well as the Audi S1 (rally), 5-cylinder conversions, etc.

Total costs: EUR 59,000, all verifiable by invoices.

STW optics, front, side, rear including foiling and ceramic sealing.

Conversion to 5-cylinder 20V turbo engine and 5-speed gearbox. The entire technology has been extensively renewed / overhauled and built to be stable from the ground up, including forged pistons and connecting rods and a nice turbo chirping … etc.

KW chassis Variant 1

OZ rims with 225 on 19-inch rims

Large brake
Stainless steel exhaust system

Except for the rear wing everything is registered!

The price is fixed because it is a unique car with unique driving characteristics. Simply good !

Please don’t tease me with any stupid comments or anything like that.

Inspection and test drive are always possible.

If interested, just let me know.

So not an accurate replica as it has a 20V 5-cylinder and the interior is definitely not race car spec but look at those rings! Maybe I shouldn’t call it a replica but rather a tribute. Regardless, this would be a fun car to own but what’s the cost? A cool €44,990 ($46,637 USD). If you are interested, you can find this 1998 Audi A4 quattro STW tribute HERE.
