Find of the Day: 1992 Amazon Green Audi 80 Coupé

words: Bill, photos: Autosalon Valencia

Ok let’s just state the obvious: this is not an S2 despite the badges front and rear but it’s still a beautiful Audi nonetheless. Painted in Amazon Green, it’s perfectly paired with a black leather interior. There are no signs of rust on this 25 year old car and the interior is beautiful. There is no mention of any restoration done on this car which is amazing because it has (hold onto something) 286,599km (178,085 miles) on it. The seats look brand new. The ad does mention that it is in a “magnificent state of conservation” with only one prior owner. Speaking of the ad, here it is:

AUDI S2. AUDI 80 2.6 V6 COUPE.

NATIONAL VEHICLE (SPAIN) of 1995 (LAST YEAR OF THE SERIES) WITH A SINGLE OWNER, it was used in Spain, so there is NO OXIDATION/RUST (in Spain we have a very favorable climate to avoid the corosion of the vehicles).

LOOK ” S2 ”. ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL COUPES OF THE BEGINNING OF THE 90s AND IT HAS THE ROBUST AND MODERN ENGINE 2.6 V6 OF 150 CV, ONE OF THE MOST RELIABLE ENGINES OF THAT TIME AND THAT ANY PERFORMANCE AND FINENESS.

THE VEHICLE HAS A MAGNIFICENT STATE OF CONSERVATION, THE EXTERIOR COLOUR IS THE PRECIOUS AMAZON GREEN METALIZED AND THE INTERIOR IS BLACK LEATHER, STEERING WHEEL S2 AND RIMS S2 ABY IN 17 ”. A MODERN CLASSIC PERFECT FOR DAILY USE.

This Audi does not look like a high-mileage car (check out the photo gallery below). I’ve always found the 80 Coupe to be a beautiful timeless design and my love for them has only grown with each passing year. The price? €9,900 ($10,919 USD). Is it worth it? Aside from the great condition, it is a FWD model and it is priced quite higher than other FWD 80 Coupés I found in Europe but none of those are in the condition this one is in. So if a non-quattro six-cylinder high mileage but fantastic conditioned Coupé is worth it to you (old enough to ship to the States), you can find it in Spain HERE.
