Find of the Day: 1986 Audi Sport quattro Replica by LCE Performance in RM Sotheby’s Private Sale
When Ken Block surprised everyone by switching to Audi, one of his first moves was to acquire a Sport quattro replica from LCE Performance. At that time, the German firm converting long-wheelbase into Sport quattros was less known, but we’r now several years down the line and they’re a bit more of a known quantity. So, when one of their cars hits the market, it’s worth mentioning (looking at you Roger Labas).
In those earlier days, Ken had to buy their test mule in order to acquire a car right away. Re-imagineers like LCE typically have a wait-list measured in years, so the best way into one of these cars is to buy it built and with some miles on it from someone who’s already waited in line. Such is the case with this Etna Red example.

Spec on the car is a 450-500 bhp 5-cylinder mated to a 6-speed manual. The car is currently road registered in the UK. Even still, it’s left hand drive and previously registered in Germany with TÜV approval and historic “H” plate.
The car was built in the spring of 2024 and was the 13th example built by LCE. Since that time, it’s logged about 1,200 miles. It’s listed with an asking price of £245,000 GBP (equal to about $307,700 US at time of writing). That’s not cheap, but given a real Sport quattro typically runs an entry level around $500,000, it’s a small house less than a real one.
