Find of the Day: 18k-Mile 2003 Audi RS 6 Sedan

words: Bill, photos: Bring-A-Trailer

Last week we featured a 17k-mile 2008 Audi RS 4 Sedan as our Find of the Day and that was listed for $74,900. This week, we were pointed to its older, bigger brother – a 2003 Audi RS 6 sedan…with 18,000 miles. Where are all these low mileage RS cars hiding? This one is hiding on Bring A Trailer and here’s the ad:

This 2003 Audi RS6 is one of just 1,435 imported to the United States for the model year, all of which were powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.2-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. This example is finished in Daytona Gray Pearl Effect over silver Nappa leather, and equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, heated front and rear seats, a solar sunroof, rear window shades, 18″ alloy wheels, automatic dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and an aftermarket Kenwood infotainment screen with Garmin navigation and an integrated a back-up camera. The car was first delivered to Classic Audi in Altamonte Springs, Florida, and it was acquired by the seller in 2019. It now has 18k miles, and recent maintenance included replacement of the timing belt, water pump, battery, and tires. This C5 RS6 is now offered in Florida with recent service records, a copy of the window sticker, the removed factory stereo, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Hampshire title in the seller’s name.

The exterior is finished in Daytona Gray Pearl Effect and features matte aluminum trim, flared fenders, a rear deck lid spoiler, a front fascia with mesh grilles and integrated fog lights, and a revised rear fascia with twin exhaust tips. The seller recently replaced the windshield wiper inserts.

Factory 18″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 255/40 Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate ZR-rated tires that were installed in September 2019. The car rides on an adaptive Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) suspension, and stopping power is from cross-drilled discs with eight-piston Brembo calipers and 14.4″ rotors in front.

The cabin features power-adjustable front seats trimmed in silver Nappa leather with black accept piping and embossed RS6 logos, while burl wood trim accents the black dashboard, center console, and door panels. The front and rear seats are heated, and additional amenities include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, power accessories, and an aftermarket Kenwood infotainment screen and tuner, Garmin navigation, SiriusXM satellite radio, bluetooth hands-free phone, and a back-up camera. The Warm Weather Package added a powered rear window shade, rear passenger sunshades, and a solar panel that powers a cooling fan when parked. A Valentine radar detector is hard-wired into the car, and the removed factory radio is included in the sale.

The steering wheel is wrapped in perforated leather and fronts instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a multi-function display, along with gauges for oil temperature, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates under 18k miles, approximately 5k of which were added during current ownership.

The twin-turbocharged and intercooled 4.2-liter V8 was rated at 450 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is delivered through a paddle-shifted five-speed Tiptronic transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive. Maintenance performed during current ownership included an oil change and replacement of the timing belt, water pump, and battery.

A copy of the window sticker lists equipment and colors, optional features, and a total price of $86,010. The sale also includes two keys, recent service records, and an owner’s manual. The September 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists registration history in Florida, Oregon, and New Hampshire.

The RS 4 is listed at $75,000…this one is currently bidding at $30,000 and there are 4 days left (as of this writing). While not as desirable as the RS 4, the RS 6 is no slouch. I have a feeling this one will not last long. You can find this very low mileage RS 6 and many more photos HERE. Thanks Kat for the heads up.
