As the Marque brand\, all Audis will be lined up on Lime Rock’s front straight. Members are encouraged to stop by the NEQ tent to converse with other members\, grab some official NEQ merchandise or a complementary refreshment. \nThis is a family friendly event\, NEQ & FCP encourage members to bring their kids to experience a cool Trunk & Treat concept. DESCRIPTION:Lime Rock’s final major event of the year is the Historic Festival over Labor Day weekend. On Sunday\, September 1st the Gathering of the Marques will be held as part of the weekend events. The Gathering displays an incredibly diverse collection of sports\, performance\, and classic cars. Hundreds of cars will line the track grouped by make\, model\, or country of origin. \nNEQ will join the Gathering with our Audis lining up on the Lime Rock track. Last year we had 26 Audis participate. We will set up a tent and provide some refreshments. \nMembers should bring their own pop up chairs or blankets to sit on. You can bring your own lunch and have a picnic or purchase food from food trucks/vendors on site. \nThe 42nd edition of the Lime Rock Historic Festival once again brings together an exciting and diverse field of historic racing machines for a Labor Day Weekend celebration of speed\, sound and beauty with classes that range from pre-war open-wheel cars to the sports and formula cars of the postwar era. \nMore than racing\, there’s also a swap meet\, automobilia\, featured speakers\, concessions\, and more to enjoy over the long weekend. \nAs a part of HF42’s Sunday in the Park\, The Lime Rock Concours offers a special line up of beautiful and historic cars across several groups to vie for the Best-in-Show Award. \nDress in your Sunday best to wander around the Park and gander at the finest examples of automobiles and motorcycles in the northeast. \nSunday’s second event is the Gathering of the Marques\, which hosts enthusiasts and clubs representing nearly every make and model\, all arranged around the 1.5-mile Lime Rock course. DESCRIPTION:Manchester Skyline Drive \nJoin us for a fun half day driving the mountains of New England with a group of Audi enthusiasts (all make cars are welcome). We will start in Troy NY and travel over the Petersburgh pass into Massachusetts and then towards Cambridge NY. We will end in the charming village of Manchester VT. In Manchester we will drive up the Equinox Mountains skyline drive to the highest peak in the Taconic Range. This will end the drive sometime early afternoon.  The afternoon will be open for other activities of your choosing including hiking\, shopping or kayaking.  Local attactions include the Orvis Fly Fishing Museum and store\, Hildene Lincoln Family  home tour and lots of dining attractions. \nWe will start at the Dehnert homestead  at 315 Carrolls Grove Rd\, Troy\, NY at 10 AM. We have plenty of parking. Please plan to arrive by 9 AM.  We will have a short drivers meeting to review the drive\, schedule and how the drive will be conducted.  The drive will be rain or shine! This event\, designed as a meetup experience\, offers participants the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy a day of high-speed excitement. \nWatch as All-Stars from NASCAR\, INDYCAR\, and Formula 1 compete in TA2 machinery during the SpeedTour All-Star Race! Plus\, don’t miss the return of IROC! \nInternational GT (IGT) is a North American racing series that includes three different championships for late model Porsche and Ferrari competitors. Home primarily to sportsman drivers\, with the occasional professional driver/coach joining the action in endurance races\, International GT annually presents The Stuttgart Cup\, Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy and The Maranello Cup championships. \nThe Stuttgart Cup includes Cayman 3.4 and 3.8 liter cars. The Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy features 996\, 997 and other GT3 Cup cars from the last decade. The Maranello Cup includes Ferrari 360\, 430 and 458 challenge spec cars. All classes compete for season-long sprint championships. \nWith rare exception\, all three divisions compete on track at the same time for individual class honors in their own and exclusive International GT run group. SUMMARY:Audi Club Eastern Pennsylvania: Cars N Cheesesteaks
DESCRIPTION:On March 29th\, the Audi Club Eastern PA Chapter will be visiting the world renowned Simeone Foundation Auto Museum in Philadelphia (not far from PHL airport). The Simeone houses over 75 cars and is one of the world’s greatest collections of racing sports cars. If you have been there before\, you’ll probably want to come again. If you have not\, well\, you’ll be in for a real treat. Some of the collection has single cars valued in the tens of million $ and every car has a unique racing story that our Tour Docent will share with us. \nWe’ll gather about 10:15 in the lobby to ensure a prompt start for our 10:30 docent led tour that will last about 2 hours. The cost per person is $20 payable in advance. Please have a check made out to Audi Club NA Eastern PA Chapter ready at the Simeone or you can Venmo us at @AudiClubEPA. You must RSVP to attend this event. \nAfter that\, we’ll be heading over to John’s Roast Pork – it is about a 15 to 20 minute drive to 14 E. Snyder Avenue in South Philly. While John’s has a fantastic Pork Sandwich\, they also have a full menu of great cheesesteaks and is home of the Ultimate Cheesesteak. Their sandwiches have been hand crafted for over 95 years through 3 generations of the Bucci family. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can eat al fresco or John’s has a small inside seating area. \nWhile we won’t be having an organized drive to John’s because of the urban location (just drive there on your own via your GPS)\, there should be plenty of free parking on Weccacoe Avenue adjacent to John’s as well as across the street at the Harbor Freight Strip Mall (15 Snyder Avenue) or around the corner in the Lowe’s Shopping Plaza parking lot on Columbus Blvd. We will resume our organized drives in April\, so stay tuned on that. \nWe welcome our New Jersey and Delaware ACNA members to join us.
