DESCRIPTION:In 2023\, the long-distance classic at the Sarthe celebrates its 100th anniversary\, Audi Tradition publishes a book to match. “Audi in Le Mans” offers a comprehensive insight into the success story of the Four Rings in this traditional race on 320 pages and with previously unpublished pictures. The book has been published by Delius Klasing Verlag and\, in addition to chapters on each racing mission\, also includes digressions on the technological peculiarities\, exciting background information and a comprehensive statistics section. \n \nThe prototype era of the LMP1 racing cars was a technically particularly demanding epoch in the history of the famous long-distance race. When Audi drives directly onto the podium in 1999 at its very first participation in Le Mans\, this ensures a respectable success. A year later\, the first overall victory follows with an impressive triple podium. By 2016\, the racing cars will win twelve more victories with the Four Rings. The author of “Audi in Le Mans”\, Alexander von Wegner\, has been in motorsport for several decades\, worked for Audi’s PR team in Le Mans for many years and has witnessed numerous races on site. With first-hand impressions\, he takes the readers on an exciting journey through the extreme challenges that this racing classic poses to man and machine. \nRegistration is required\, admission is free.
