SUMMARY:Audi Club Golden Gate Teen Driving Clinic - North Bay
DESCRIPTION:North Bay Teen Driver Safety Clinic \nThe Audi Teen Driver Safety Clinic\, which will be held on Sunday\, April 21st\, is designed to go far beyond what is typically taught in Drivers’ Ed or a driving school with an emphasis on keeping the students in their cars with only a little time spent in the classroom. This is best described as a classroom within the car. \nThe event is open to all teen drivers between the age of 15 1/2 and 19 (consideration can be made for drivers up to the age of 21) who have a valid learning permit\, provisional driver’s license or full driver’s license. All teen students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian\, and they must be driving a fully registered vehicle. All makes and models of cars are welcome and membership in the Audi Club of North America is not required for this event. \nThe cost of the Teen Driving Clinic is $175 for each student which includes lunch\, snacks and beverages. There is an additional $20 fee for any parent or other person who wishes to attend with the student (lunch\, snacks and beverages). \nThe event will teach teen drivers to control their cars in a variety of real-world situations. Each teen driver will have an in-car tutor who will guide him or her through practical exercises of: accident avoidance\, ABS and panic braking and slalom driving all in dry and wet conditions. These exercises are designed to improve awareness of the teen driver’s car and how to control it. Additionally there is an exercise called “driving the dots” that is designed to help the teen drivers become more aware of where the edge of the lane (or curb) is located. Classroom sessions will focus on “real world” situations that teens face every day on the road\, including proper lane changing\, merging and passing techniques. Distraction hazards\, such as texting while driving\, will also be discussed. \nAt the end of the day all teen drivers will leave with much-improved driving skills and big smiles. The book has been published by Delius Klasing Verlag and\, in addition to chapters on each racing mission\, also includes digressions on the technological peculiarities\, exciting background information and a comprehensive statistics section. \n \nThe prototype era of the LMP1 racing cars was a technically particularly demanding epoch in the history of the famous long-distance race. When Audi drives directly onto the podium in 1999 at its very first participation in Le Mans\, this ensures a respectable success. A year later\, the first overall victory follows with an impressive triple podium. By 2016\, the racing cars will win twelve more victories with the Four Rings. The author of “Audi in Le Mans”\, Alexander von Wegner\, has been in motorsport for several decades\, worked for Audi’s PR team in Le Mans for many years and has witnessed numerous races on site. DESCRIPTION:The Audi Forum Neckarsulm will once again be a meeting place for all fans of miniature models: On Sunday\, 5. November\, Audi Tradition and the Audi Modellautoclub Neckarsulm invite from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to the 23rd. Audi model car exchange. Particularly sought after by model car fans is traditionally the stock exchange special model in scale 1 : 87\, limited to 444 pieces – this year it is an Audi V8 in the color turquoise. \nAt the model car exchange in the Audi Forum Neckarsulm\, the focus is on miniatures of NSU and Audi models. In addition\, visitors can expect a diverse selection of collector’s items. At the exhibition tables there is literature\, pins and model cars of all brands. Selected accessories from the Audi Tradition collection are available at a special price. All visitors to the model car exchange have the opportunity to visit the special exhibition “Innovation. Daring. Transformation. 150 years of NSU” on the second floor. Multimedia knowledge games and driving simulators ensure a varied Sunday afternoon for the whole family. The organization of the event is once again taken over by the Automania model car collector’s exchange. Admission is free.

Held again at the Griot’s Garage Flagship Retail facility\, it offered an amazing array of four-ring automobiles for all to enjoy. \n  \nA highlight of Audi Expo is the crowd-determined awarding of the best cars. In this case\, the winner was the repeat presence of Peter Cha and his best-of-show-blacked-out 2018 Audi R8 V10 plus. The car features a full carbon fiber  Vorsteiner body kit\, Suntek ultra satin black wrap with ceramic coating\, a Capristo exhaust and tinted windows.

DESCRIPTION:Seefeld\, Austria Winter Driving Experience \nA winter holiday in Austria conjures up visions of villages covered in a white blanket of snow surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Although the village of Seefeld-in-Tirol is renowned as a fabulous ski resort\, for Audi Club members it is also a place where drivers learn invaluable driving skills from Audi AG world-class driving instructors\, creating memories that last a lifetime. The experience begins in Munich with a multitude of attractions. Whether you’re interested in history\, architecture\, museums\, art or a visit to the Hofbrauhaus\, there’s always something to do in this multi-faceted city. \nThe journey continues to the mecca of all things Audi — Ingolstadt. Club members lunch with Audi AG VIPs and enjoy a factory tour. Weather permitting\, Audi AG instructors will give R8 rides to members on the Audi driving experience circuit at Neuburg. Late afternoon\, the bus heads to the Austrian mountains and a beautiful alpine hotel in Seefeld to meet the winter driving instructors. \nFor two days\, participants will challenge their driving skills in exercises such as ABS braking\, accident avoidance\, understeer\, oversteer\, power slide\, rhythm slalom and final full-circuit timed laps. Surrounded by the Tyrolean Alps\, enjoying the luxury of a five-star hotel\, saunas\, massages\, magical sleigh rides and camaraderie with Audi Club members is something you won’t want to miss! \n  \nSpots are opening up to waitlisted attendees first.  \nJoin our Winter Driving Waitlist here to mark your name down!  \n  \nThis years tour will cost $2\,700 USD for a driving spot and $1\,500 for non-driving guests. This cost covers your shuttle from Munich to Austria and back\, coordinated meals while on tour\, and your hotel in Austria.
