SUMMARY:Audi Club Chicagoland: Gilmore DeutscheMarques 13 Auto Show Road Trip
DESCRIPTION:DeutscheMarques 12 set a record of 646 cars on display in 2024\, making it largest all-German car show in America.  They hope to break that record again this year\, with the 13th annual event.  The show takes place on the Campania Barn Lawn of the Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners\, MI (about a 3.5 hr drive from suburban Chicago). It features all of your favorite German marques and everything from daily drivers to weekend treasures\, including Audi\, BMW\, Porsche\, Mercedes-Benz\, and Volkswagen. \nJoin us for our group drive and rendezvous with the Audi Club Michigan chapter. We are planning two group drives.  The show opens at 9 am eastern\, and ends at 3pm. If you intend to display your car within the show\, plan on getting up early. We will determine a meeting point\, meet at about 6 am central and caravan to Hickory Corners\, MI. It is suggested you register and buy your ticket early. 2025 Ticket Link Just want to be a spectator? The second group will leave at a more reasonable hour and also caravan to Hickory Corners\, MI. Please note\, if you want to display your car and are in the second group\, parking is limited\, and you may not be able to enter the lawn display area.  There is however\, plenty of spectator parking.

We know what it’s like to drive on a racetrack for the first time: exciting\, unique\, maybe a bit overwhelming. So we work with you to make your experience as fun and enjoyable as OUR first day! Your classroom teacher and personal in-car instructor will make you comfortable and give you the confidence to explore the performance of your car. \nFrom first-timer through novice to experienced performance driver\, NEQ has a run-group and coaching experience just for you and your car. Jump at this opportunity to learn and develop your driving skills in a safe\, controlled environment\, learning from some of the finest instructors in the area. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle in a controlled environment. \nClub Motorsports is a premiere country club for enthusiasts of vintage and performance cars and motorcycles at the edge of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. On hundreds of rolling wooded acres with breathtaking views\, it is a heart-pounding ribbon through the woods: 15 turns over 2.5 miles with an elevation change of 250 feet. It may well be the most dramatic and scenic performance course in the country — a perfect blend of technology\, art\, and adrenaline. \nRegistration Fees \nOur event is during PEAK SEASON in northern New Hampshire. YOU NEED TO COMMIT EARLY AND BOOK HOTEL ROOMS ASAP TO ENSURE AVAILABILTY AND FOR BEST PRICING \nStudents: $525 per student for one day or $795 per student for two days.\nInstructors: Event fees are waived in appreciation of your instruction. \nSunday for Advanced Solo and Instructors: We have been invited to share the track with Club Motorsports Members Sunday from 11:00AM to 5:00PM for $400. Register here on MSR first and then Club Motorsports will invoice you directly. Please note the event on Sunday is run by Club Motorsports. \nWhat is a High Performance Driving School? \nThe purpose of a driving school is quite simple: to improve your driving skills. We conduct the school on a racetrack under the close supervision of experienced and trained instructors. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. This will help to prepare you for emergencies in normal driving. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle in a controlled environment. At no time will you be encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable. All participants will be organized into run groups in accordance with experience\, skill\, and type of vehicle. \nWhat you learn on the track depends on your driving skill. Beginners are taught driving style (smoothness\, consistency\, the ability to read the track)\, more experienced participants continue to work on consistency\, while developing new skills such as trail braking and threshold braking. As a beginner\, every time you are on the track\, you will have an experienced instructor with you in the passenger seat. \nFor experienced drivers\, you can be “signed off” and drive solo when you have proven to your instructor and the Chief Instructor that you understand the basics of high speed driving\, you can consistently drive the correct line\, and you show proper etiquette on track. Maturity\, good judgment\, skill\, and significant experience will lead to being signed off for solo driving. \nThough you are on a racetrack\, other drivers of similar driving skills\, it is not a race. Passing in corners is not allowed\, and you are not expected to shift at redline\, or go screaming through each corner with the tires squealing. Safety of the event is of the utmost importance. Driver conduct will be diligently monitored throughout the day by the staff\, instructors\, and corner workers. \nTrack Time \nYou will have four on-track sessions each day varying from 20-30 minutes each. At the end of the 2-day event you will have had between 3-4 hours on-track over the two days. That’s a lot of driving time and a lot of personalized high-quality instruction. \nClassroom \nYour day is divided between driving on the track\, classroom sessions\, and free time. Yes\, this is a school\, and there is mandatory classroom time. All participants are required to attend classroom sessions throughout the day to learn vehicle dynamics and driving techniques. \nIn the classroom\, you learn a lot of high speed driving theory. Learn about the difference between an early and late apex. You’ll get a better understanding of car dynamics so you understand what is really happening when you brake or why your car understeers or oversteers in certain circumstances. Each classroom will also include an opportunity for Q&A. \nDo I need to own an Audi? \nWe welcome all makes of cars — you don’t have to drive an Audi to enjoy our events. This school is an excellent way for you to improve your driving skills and have fun too! \nAll participants must simply be members of the Audi Club of North America (ACNA). There is a $49 fee for annual membership. Your novice classroom teacher and your personal instructor are ready to make you comfortable and give you the tools and confidence to enjoy driving your car on the race-track. SUMMARY:Audi Club Wisconsin: 2025 Fall Drive
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Fall drive\, diving on some colorful back roads to beautiful Elkhart Lake. We will be leaving from Audi Noth Shore around 9:30am (we will also have a group leaving from the Appleton area too). Once we all arrive at Elkhart Lake\, we will take a couple of slow laps around the 1950 Historic Race Circuit and then tour some of the 1951-52 race circuit that all happened on public roads. Yes\, before there was a Road America racetrack\, they raced on the streets and roads in and around the village of Elkhart Lake.\nWe’ll relive the 1950-1952 races as there are 14 historic road markers along the route describing some of the events that happened during those races. While you cannot drive the complete 1951-52 circuit\, we will try to drive as much as we can by Audi power. \nAfter the drive around the race circuits\, we will meet for lunch (individual checks will be provided) at Road America’s racing fan’s favorite go to place for food and drinks – the Stop-Inn Tavern at the famous Siebkens Resort. \nFull details will be posted on our website and emailed to all members.
