SUMMARY:Audi Club Northwest (ACNW): Maryhill Loops Road Tour
DESCRIPTION:Audi Club Northwest is excited to offer the 18th annual Maryhill Loops Road Tour and Wine Tasting. \nThe Maryhill Loops Road Tour is your chance to drive your car on the first macadam asphalt paved road in the Pacific Northwest! Maryhill Museum’s Loops Road is generally only open to pedestrians and bicyclists (or crazy skateboarders!)\, but ACNW will have private use of the road. Over 2.8 miles and 25 curves (8 hairpins) the road rises 850 feet to its highest point. The drive on the Maryhill Loops Road is a tour so no helmets are required (or allowed)\, convertibles are allowed\, and passengers are allowed and encouraged to come along for the fun! \nOn Friday we’ll get together for a no-host\, optional group dinner at 7:00 pm at D’Avanzo’s Italian Restaurant\, in Goldendale. \nOn Saturday we will tour the Maryhill Museum’s Loops Road beginning with a drivers’ meeting at 8:30 am. For guests and drivers between groups we’ll provide a canopy area for Columbia Gorge winery visit suggestions. On Saturday evening we will gather outside on the Maryhill Winery terrace for wine tasting and a catered buffet dinner. This is an ideal way to relax and visit after a good day of fun driving! \nWe limit the number of drivers at this event to ensure a great experience for all! Because the event is so fun and we limit entries\, the event will sell out quickly so be prepared to sign up right when registration opens! \nEach person who wants to drive on the Maryhill Loops Road on Saturday must complete their own registration. Drivers will be divided into two groups that will alternate driving on the loops road. If you are sharing a car\, you and the other registered driver will be assigned to different groups so that you may each have the opportunity to drive the maximum number of times on the loops road. \nFamily and friends are welcome to come and ride along on the Maryhill Loops Road and you can purchase lunch and the wine tasting and dinner for your guests during registration if they are not going to drive the Loops Road. \nThe following hotels are located in the area:\nQuality Inn\, 808 E Simcoe Dr\, Goldendale\, WA 98620\, 509-773-5881. DESCRIPTION:We are very excited about our upcoming NAAC cookout. Get out your favorite car (Audi or other)\nand make your way along rural roads to the Gregory Farm in the beautiful and remote town of\nFrancestown\, NH. The farm is a perfect location with lots of room and a large comfortable barn we\ncan use. The hillside property is surrounded by fields\, fences and jaw-dropping views. \nCome and enjoy good food\, drink and the company of your friends\, fellow members and auto\nenthusiasts. As in the past\, we’ll mingle\, check out each other’s rides\, enjoy the beautiful scenery and farm amenities\, and play some games including corn hole (can you beat William Ellis who donated our custom boards?). We’ll have some raffles and prizes too\, including a year of Audi Club membership. \nNAAC will provide hot dogs\, burgers\, sides and some non-alcoholic beverages. We welcome you\nto bring a favorite dish or dessert to share\, and feel free to bring your own refreshing beverages\,\nincluding the adult variety. \nThe cookout will start at 2pm and end around 7pm\, sunset. Fees are $5 for members who joined in the past 12 months\, $15 for NAAC\, BMWCCA and PCA members\, and $20 for all others. Please register no later than noon September 12. DESCRIPTION:High Performance Driving School\nSeptember 15-16\, 2025 \nSitting on more than 500 acres in Millville\, N.J.\, New Jersey Motorsports Park is the premier motorsport entertainment complex in the Northeast. NJMP is conveniently located near Philadelphia and New York City\, offering diverse and dynamic attractions both on and off-track. The Park includes two world-class road courses: Thunderbolt and Lightning. For this year’s event\, we will be on Thunderbolt for both days. \nThe southern road circuit at New Jersey Motorsports Park is our signature Thunderbolt Raceway featuring 2.25 miles of asphalt\, 12 challenging turns\, a one half mile straightway and approximately 40 acres of full service paddock space. Amenities on this circuit include concession buildings\, event garages\, twenty (20) VIP Suites\, banquet rooms\, and a three (3) story timing tower with media center. Click here for a detailed Thunderbolt track map. \nRegistration Fees \nStudents: $445 per student for one day or $695 per student for two days.\nInstructors: Event fees are waived in appreciation of your instruction. \nWhat is a High Performance Driving School? \nThe purpose of a driving school is quite simple: to improve your driving skills. We conduct the school on a racetrack under the close supervision of experienced and trained instructors. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. This will help to prepare you for emergencies in normal driving. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle in a controlled environment. At no time will you be encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable. All participants will be organized into run groups in accordance with experience\, skill\, and type of vehicle. \nWhat you learn on the track depends on your driving skill. Beginners are taught driving style (smoothness\, consistency\, the ability to read the track)\, more experienced participants continue to work on consistency\, while developing new skills such as trail braking and threshold braking. As a beginner\, every time you are on the track\, you will have an experienced instructor with you in the passenger seat. \nFor experienced drivers\, you can be “signed off” and drive solo when you have proven to your instructor and the Chief Instructor that you understand the basics of high speed driving\, you can consistently drive the correct line\, and you show proper etiquette on track. Maturity\, good judgment\, skill\, and significant experience will lead to being signed off for solo driving. \nThough you are on a racetrack\, other drivers of similar driving skills\, it is not a race. Passing in corners is not allowed\, and you are not expected to shift at redline\, or go screaming through each corner with the tires squealing. Safety of the event is of the utmost importance. Driver conduct will be diligently monitored throughout the day by the staff\, instructors\, and corner workers. \nTrack Time \nYou will have four on-track sessions each day varying from 20-30 minutes each. At the end of the 2-day event you will have had between 3-4 hours on-track over the two days. That’s a lot of driving time and a lot of personalized high-quality instruction. \nClassroom \nYour day is divided between driving on the track\, classroom sessions\, and free time. Yes\, this is a school\, and there is mandatory classroom time. All participants are required to attend classroom sessions throughout the day to learn vehicle dynamics and driving techniques. \nIn the classroom\, you learn a lot of high speed driving theory. Learn about the difference between an early and late apex. You’ll get a better understanding of car dynamics so you understand what is really happening when you brake or why your car understeers or oversteers in certain circumstances. Each classroom will also include an opportunity for Q&A. \nDo I need to own an Audi? \nWe welcome all makes of cars — you don’t have to drive an Audi to enjoy our events. This school is an excellent way for you to improve your driving skills and have fun too! \nAll participants must simply be members of the Audi Club of North America (ACNA). There is a $49 fee for annual membership. Your novice classroom teacher and your personal instructor are ready to make you comfortable and give you the tools and confidence to enjoy driving your car on the race-track. Don’t forget – this is not competition driving. There is no overtaking in corners or racing other cars. This is all about having a safe and enjoyable experience. \nWe have some restrictions on driving convertibles and you will need a helmet. Requirements are on the next page. Please get your car inspected at least two weeks before the event to avoid disappointment if the inspection uncovers repairs that must be completed before the car will pass. \nThe Northeast Region of the Audi Club (NEQ) recognizes several Audi-VW tuners and service centers. They are NEQ supporters with years of experience and scores of satisfied customers. As a benefit for NEQ members they will provide free tech pre-inspection for applicants of our schools. Bring your Safety Inspection Checklist form. After inspection they will sign your form to be sure you are eligible for our event. Naturally there will be a charge for any parts or labor that are additionally required to prepare your vehicle. Two of these sites are APR distributors. They are all participants of our events with much experience in regard to car preparation and advice for upgrades. You will also be happy with the services of any Audi dealership but may utilize another dealership or full-time automotive repair shop at whatever rate you agree to . DESCRIPTION:NAAC FALL FOLIAGE TOUR (Where the tourist don’t know) \nTourist always go to the “Kanc” to see the fall foliage.  Too many cars\, stop and go traffic\, makes for a frustrating day.  This tour will take you places that the normal tourist has no idea about.  The back roads of NH have some great sights to see \nDate is Saturday September 27th\, with a Rain Date of September 28th. Everyone who signs up will be notified 24 hours in advance. \nFee will be $25 per car. \nStart will be the Circle K/Irving Parking Lot at the Exit 24 off Route I-93. Lunch will be in Woodsville NH. Finish at “The Common Man” in Plymouth NH\, right at exit 26 of Route 93. \nCheck in will be at 9:30AM\, leaving at 10AM.  Morning drive is approx. 2 hours and 15 minutes; plus however many stops we choose to make. The afternoon is approx. 1 hour and 45 minutes\, plus stops. There is approx. 8 miles of nicely groomed dirt roads on this tour. Finish will be before 4PM

SUMMARY:Audi Club Northwest (ACNW): October Driver Skills
DESCRIPTION:Driver Skills is a one-day clinic on the fundamentals of performance driving hosted by the Pacific Northwest Region of the Porsche Club of America. Appropriate for novices and experienced drivers alike\, Driver Skills will make you a safer\, more competent driver. Working 1:1 with our Porsche\, Audi and BMW club instructors\, students rotate in small groups through the following educational segments: \nGround school (classroom)\nSlalom\nWet skidpad\nThreshold braking and accident avoidance\nFigure-8\nAutocross\nDriver Skills runs from 7:50am (gates open at 7) to 3:30pm\, followed by an optional segment which runs to 6pm or dark\, whichever comes first. \nNone of the segments involve timing or competition. Instead\, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level. Together\, the segments improve your ability to look ahead\, place the car precisely\, control weight transfer\, steer with the throttle\, and brake effectively. Run groups are small\, which means that wait time between runs is minimal. At the end of the primary sessions\, students are encouraged to apply the lessons of the day in an optional segment on a large maneuvering course. \nMany see this as great prep or skill growth for our Driver Education\, or Autocross events. This course also qualifies you for Driver Education (track driving) events with the local Audi and BMW clubs. \nThe Driver Skills participation fee is $175\, including a lunch. ($100 for qualified teen drivers). Limited helmet rentals are available for $30\, with the fee waived for those participants under 21 years of age.
