DESCRIPTION:Manchester Skyline Drive \nJoin us for a fun half day driving the mountains of New England with a group of Audi enthusiasts (all make cars are welcome). We will start in Troy NY and travel over the Petersburgh pass into Massachusetts and then towards Cambridge NY. We will end in the charming village of Manchester VT. In Manchester we will drive up the Equinox Mountains skyline drive to the highest peak in the Taconic Range. This will end the drive sometime early afternoon.  The afternoon will be open for other activities of your choosing including hiking\, shopping or kayaking.  Local attactions include the Orvis Fly Fishing Museum and store\, Hildene Lincoln Family  home tour and lots of dining attractions. \nWe will start at the Dehnert homestead  at 315 Carrolls Grove Rd\, Troy\, NY at 10 AM. We have plenty of parking. Please plan to arrive by 9 AM.  We will have a short drivers meeting to review the drive\, schedule and how the drive will be conducted.  The drive will be rain or shine! The total drive will be about 100 miles. \nWe will have a 20 car limit. \nRegistration fee: $20 members /$30 non-members \nSchedule overview: \n9:00AM  arrive at 315 Carrolls Grove Rd\, Troy\, NY \n10:00 AM   Hit the road \n1-2:00 PM  arrive at the parking lot of Mt Equinox. \nPLEASE NOTE: The cost per car to drive to the top of Mt  Equinox is $20/car plus $5 /passenger.  Each car will be responsible to purchase a ticket at the Mt Equinox concession booth if they want to drive to the top of the mountain. \nThe website for Mt Equinox is https://equinoxmountain.com/ \nAdditional information and the drive route will be sent out to all participants prior to the drive.

We know what it’s like to drive on a racetrack for the first time: exciting\, unique\, maybe a bit overwhelming. So we work with you to make your experience as fun and enjoyable as OUR first day! Your classroom teacher and personal in-car instructor will make you comfortable and give you the confidence to explore the performance of your car. \nFrom first-timer through novice to experienced performance driver\, NEQ has a run-group and coaching experience just for you and your car. Jump at this opportunity to learn and develop your driving skills in a safe\, controlled environment\, learning from some of the finest instructors in the area. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle in a controlled environment. \nAnd what a track to do it on!!! Palmer Motorsports Park is 2.3 miles long\, 40-feet wide\, and has over 190 feet of elevation. Designed by grassroots racers and professional track designers and carved out of Whiskey Hill granite\, the road course is a 15-turn rollercoaster ride around a scenic and secluded alpine wilderness. \nRegistration Fees \nStudents: $475 per student for one day or $745 per student for two days.\nInstructors: Event fees are waived in appreciation of your instruction. \nPalmer Garage and Carport Reservations \nGarage bays and carports are rented directly from Palmer Motorsports Park using this link: PMP Garage and Carport Rental Page \nWhat is a High Performance Driving School? \nThe purpose of a driving school is quite simple: to improve your driving skills. We conduct the school on a racetrack under the close supervision of experienced and trained instructors. You will learn how to handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. This will help to prepare you for emergencies in normal driving. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle in a controlled environment. At no time will you be encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable. All participants will be organized into run groups in accordance with experience\, skill\, and type of vehicle. \nWhat you learn on the track depends on your driving skill. Beginners are taught driving style (smoothness\, consistency\, the ability to read the track)\, more experienced participants continue to work on consistency\, while developing new skills such as trail braking and threshold braking. As a beginner\, every time you are on the track\, you will have an experienced instructor with you in the passenger seat. \nFor experienced drivers\, you can be “signed off” and drive solo when you have proven to your instructor and the Chief Instructor that you understand the basics of high speed driving\, you can consistently drive the correct line\, and you show proper etiquette on track. Maturity\, good judgment\, skill\, and significant experience will lead to being signed off for solo driving. \nThough you are on a racetrack\, other drivers of similar driving skills\, it is not a race. Passing in corners is not allowed\, and you are not expected to shift at redline\, or go screaming through each corner with the tires squealing. Safety of the event is of the utmost importance. Driver conduct will be diligently monitored throughout the day by the staff\, instructors\, and corner workers. \nTrack Time \nEach run group will have 5\, 20-25 minute sessions both days\, totalling 3 hrs\, 25 minutes of weekend driving time. On Saturday\, we’ll also begin the day with a full course yellow session where all driver groups may drive with no passing. We’ve received a lot of positive feedback regarding this session as it allows everyone to familiarize themselves with the track line\, surroundings and flagger stations at a slow to moderate pace. \nClassroom \nYour day is divided between driving on the track\, classroom sessions\, and free time. Yes\, this is a school\, and there is mandatory classroom time. All participants are required to attend classroom sessions throughout the day to learn vehicle dynamics and driving techniques. \nIn the classroom\, you learn a lot of high speed driving theory. Learn about the difference between an early and late apex. You’ll get a better understanding of car dynamics so you understand what is really happening when you brake or why your car understeers or oversteers in certain circumstances. Each classroom will also include an opportunity for Q&A. \nDo I need to own an Audi? \nWe welcome all makes of cars — you don’t have to drive an Audi to enjoy our events. This school is an excellent way for you to improve your driving skills and have fun too! \nAll participants must simply be members of the Audi Club of North America (ACNA). They are NEQ supporters with years of experience and scores of satisfied customers. As a benefit for NEQ members they will provide free tech pre-inspection for applicants of our schools. Bring your Safety Inspection Checklist form. After inspection they will sign your form to be sure you are eligible for our event. SUMMARY:Audi Club Northwest (ACNW): July Driver Skills
DESCRIPTION:Audi Club Northwest presents the July Driver Skills and Teen Clinic at Bremerton Motorsports Park! \nDriver Skills is a one-day clinic on the fundamentals of performance driving hosted by the Northwest Chapter of Audi Club North America. Appropriate for novices and experienced drivers alike\, Driver Skills will make you a safer\, more competent driver. Working 1:1 with our Audi\, BMW and Porsche club instructors\, students rotate in small groups through the following educational segments: \nGround school (classroom)\nSlalom\nWet skid pad\nThreshold braking and accident avoidance\nFigure-8\nAutocross\nDriver Skills runs from 7:50am (gates open at 7) to 3:30pm\, followed by an optional segment which runs to 6pm or dark\, whichever comes first. \nNone of the segments involve timing or competition. Instead\, you work 1:1 with our instructors at a pace appropriate for your experience and comfort level. Together\, the segments improve your ability to look ahead\, place the car precisely\, control weight transfer\, steer with the throttle\, and brake effectively. Run groups are small\, which means that wait time between runs is minimal. At the end of the primary sessions\, students are encouraged to apply the lessons of the day in an optional segment on a large maneuvering course. \nMany see this program as a great way to improve their driving and car control skills for everyday driving in any weather conditions.  In addition\, this course prepares and qualifies you for high-performance driving education (HPDE) events with the local Audi\, BMW\, and Porsche clubs. \nThe Driver Skills participation fee is $185\, including lunch. ($105 for qualified teen drivers). \nAudi Club Northwest may share event registration information with Audi Club North America (ACNA)\, which aggregates this data for marketing and informational purposes. Shared information is managed according to the ACNA privacy policy.

DESCRIPTION:Pro Race \nThe Audi Club North America’s Northeast Chapter is excited to announce the NEQ Social Speed Tour at Lime Rock Park. This event\, designed as a meetup experience\, offers participants the opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts and enjoy a day of high-speed excitement. \nWatch as All-Stars from NASCAR\, INDYCAR\, and Formula 1 compete in TA2 machinery during the SpeedTour All-Star Race! Plus\, don’t miss the return of IROC! \nInternational GT (IGT) is a North American racing series that includes three different championships for late model Porsche and Ferrari competitors. Home primarily to sportsman drivers\, with the occasional professional driver/coach joining the action in endurance races\, International GT annually presents The Stuttgart Cup\, Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy and The Maranello Cup championships. \nThe Stuttgart Cup includes Cayman 3.4 and 3.8 liter cars. The Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy features 996\, 997 and other GT3 Cup cars from the last decade. The Maranello Cup includes Ferrari 360\, 430 and 458 challenge spec cars. All classes compete for season-long sprint championships. \nWith rare exception\, all three divisions compete on track at the same time for individual class honors in their own and exclusive International GT run group.
