NEQ Advanced Driver Car Control Clinic

This Advanced Driver Car Control Clinic is only for highly experienced HPDE students or instructors as well as racers who want to improve their comfort with their car and ability to drive consistently near the limit of the car. This is a rare opportunity for you to test the limits of your car in the reduced risk environment of a skidpad. Attendees will have the ability to receive personal professional instruction, and drive on autocross style handling courses.

There will also be opportunities to gain experience by riding as a passenger and driving with our professional instructor, Andrew Wikstrom of Tachterion Driver Development. Andrew is well-known to many of our drivers and instructors as he has worked with several drivers.  He is currently racing in the American Endurance Racing (AER) series and coaching class record holding and championship winning drivers in Pirelli World Challenge, NASA, SCCA, BMWCCA, PCA, and elsewhere.

Registration Fees

Students Cost is $285 per student.

What is an Advanced Driver Car Control Clinic?

The purpose of a car control clinic is to improve your driving skills. We conduct the school on a large skid pad with a course set up to reduce (but not eliminate) risk. You will learn how to better handle and control your vehicle at speeds not normally attained on public roads. It will also allow you to explore your capabilities as a driver and those of your vehicle in a controlled environment. At no time will you be pushed or encouraged to go any faster than is comfortable.

For instructors, there are rarely good opportunities for you to be able to push the limits of your driving while at the track, in front of your students. This day is just for you to work on your own skills.

Driver conduct will be diligently monitored throughout the day by the staff and instructors.

Driving Time

The event will be run from 9:30am to 4:30pm, with an hour break for lunch. Space is extremely limited to only 16 attendees to ensure you will be exhausted by the end of the day. Due to the nature of the course, 10 minutes on a handling course feels like 30 on a track.

Do I need to own an Audi?

We welcome all makes of cars  — you don’t have to drive an Audi to enjoy our events.  This school is an excellent way for you to improve your driving skills and have fun too!

All participants must simply be members of the Audi Club of North America (ACNA).  There is a $49 fee for annual membership. To join or update your membership, please go to the ACNA website (http://www.audiclubna.org/) and click on “Join ACNA” at the top of the page.
