DESCRIPTION:Sticking with long standing tradition\, the next event will be HelenBack\, August 22-24. This year\, our basecamp will be at The Bridge Creek Inn in Clayton\, GA. We’ve secured a block of rooms at a very favorable rate\, but they’re limited\, so don’t wait to book. As usual\, we will organize smaller group dinners Friday night\, August 22\, but this time\, we’re going to WALK! Downtown Clayton and a number of great restaurants are right outside the door\, no driving required. Saturday\, August 23 will offer another epic drive through the mountains of Northeast Georgia\, North and South Carolina\, stopping for lunch at Micas Restaurant in Sapphire Valley\, NC. The afternoon promises more driving fun as we continue southwestward\, returning to Bridge Creek Inn in time for happy hour\, and ending the day with a grand dinner at the hotel. The route will get us close enough to Helen that we can continue to claim the name of the event. The $100 registration fee will cover dinner on Saturday. Sunday\, August 24\, an informal brunch is offered for those who’d like to linger before the drive back home.

DESCRIPTION:The Dream Ride Experience is more than just a weekend event; it is a year-round movement of making dreams come true through #DreamRide365. \nThe Dream Ride Experience is the signature fundraising event of The Hometown Foundation\, Inc. The weekend features family fun for all with live music\, food\, vendors\, and more! It also includes the Saturday Dream Ride\, a 40-mile\, police-escorted motorcycle tour through the Farmington\, Connecticut countryside; the Dream Cruise\, a Saturday police-escorted journey where drivers pair up with Dream Riders in their classic/exotic vehicles for a 17-mile cruise; and culminates with the Sunday Dream Show featuring cars and motorcycles in the largest cause-related car show on the East Coast. \nOver the years\, The Dream Ride Experience has evolved into a year-long community commitment to celebrate the achievements of our Dream Riders\, the true heart and soul of our event. Our Dream Riders are Special Olympics athletes and individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities from nearly every state and several countries from across the globe. The Experience honors these individuals who are overcoming their challenges every day in our communities. \nThis weekend event and year-round movement highlights their determination and willingness to persevere\, overcome challenges\, and shatter stereotypes. The Dream Ride Experience advocates for inclusion and building friendships amongst not only the Dream Riders\, but also with the participants and attendees. \nDuring this weekend-long event\, Farmington\, Connecticut\, welcomes thousands of motorcyclists\, automotive enthusiasts and guests from across the world\, who come together to support The Hometown Foundation\, Inc. \nParticipants have journeyed from across the United States and internationally to be a part of the Dream Ride Experience. It is with their passion\, that The Dream Ride Experience is a lasting and growing event! Dream Riders worldwide are given the opportunity to attend The Dream Ride Experience and treasure this lifelong memory. Many Dream Riders make the trip not knowing what the weekend will hold; however\, it is fair to say that this is where dreams come true! \nThe Dream Ride Experience has evolved into more than a motorcycle ride and a car show. Hundreds of automotive enthusiasts from across the country convene at The Farmington Club for a 12-mile police-escorted journey in which drivers pair up with Dream Riders in their classic or exotic vehicles for a cruise through the Farmington Valley. Upon returning to the Farmington Club\, passengers are dropped off at the red carpet for a grand entrance to the Saturday evening festivities. \nSafety equipment is required for all automobiles including seat belts to drive an athlete in the cruise. – NO EXCEPTIONS. Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Limited on-site registration will be available. This reserved display area is located behind the Old Kane County Court House on Third Street and is adjacent to the official Concours site. The entrance is on James Street at Fourth Street. The Car Club Display area has become a popular addition to the Geneva Concours experience. \nCome spend a relaxing day in Geneva. You will see spectacular cars surrounded by wonderful shopping and fantastic restaurants of all kinds.
