SUMMARY:Audi Club Georgia: Going Coastal
DESCRIPTION:First is our brand new Going Coastal event\, March 28-30. We’re trying something different\, in part to better engage our members outside Metro Atlanta\, in part to try something different. This event is a collaboration with our friends from Audi Club Florida. The driving will not involve any high-G hairpins or blind\, off-camber\, decreasing radii. Instead\, we’ll be cruising through the Georgia Low Country into Florida’s First Coast. We begin by meeting up in Savannah on Friday\, March 28 for Happy Hour\, followed by dinner at The Pirate’s House and an evening on River Street. We’ll spend the night at the Westin in Savannah Harbor. Saturday\, March 29\, we begin our drive down the coast on the best local roads we can find\, stopping for lunch at Skipper’s Fish Camp in Darien and ending in Atlantic Beach\, Florida. Here\, we’ll check into the One Ocean Hotel right on the beach\, then head out on foot for happy hour and dinner in Neptune Beach. The program on Sunday\, March 30 begins with brunch a little further down the beach and concludes with a relaxed drive back up the coast on A1A\, after which we’re going to head home. \nFollowing the format we introduced last fall at Tapoco Lodge\, you can attend as many or as few of the components of this trip as you desire (or have time for). Join up at any point along the program. We simply ask that you carefully observe the scheduled departure times for each Stage that you’ve signed up for. The Stages are all detailed on the registration form. Each participant will cover their own expenses\, and the $30 nominal registration fee is the same for everyone.

SUMMARY:Audi Club Eastern Pennsylvania: Cars N Cheesesteaks
DESCRIPTION:On March 29th\, the Audi Club Eastern PA Chapter will be visiting the world renowned Simeone Foundation Auto Museum in Philadelphia (not far from PHL airport). The Simeone houses over 75 cars and is one of the world’s greatest collections of racing sports cars. If you have been there before\, you’ll probably want to come again. If you have not\, well\, you’ll be in for a real treat. Some of the collection has single cars valued in the tens of million $ and every car has a unique racing story that our Tour Docent will share with us. \nWe’ll gather about 10:15 in the lobby to ensure a prompt start for our 10:30 docent led tour that will last about 2 hours. The cost per person is $20 payable in advance. Please have a check made out to Audi Club NA Eastern PA Chapter ready at the Simeone or you can Venmo us at @AudiClubEPA. You must RSVP to attend this event. \nAfter that\, we’ll be heading over to John’s Roast Pork – it is about a 15 to 20 minute drive to 14 E. Snyder Avenue in South Philly. While John’s has a fantastic Pork Sandwich\, they also have a full menu of great cheesesteaks and is home of the Ultimate Cheesesteak. Their sandwiches have been hand crafted for over 95 years through 3 generations of the Bucci family. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can eat al fresco or John’s has a small inside seating area. \nWhile we won’t be having an organized drive to John’s because of the urban location (just drive there on your own via your GPS)\, there should be plenty of free parking on Weccacoe Avenue adjacent to John’s as well as across the street at the Harbor Freight Strip Mall (15 Snyder Avenue) or around the corner in the Lowe’s Shopping Plaza parking lot on Columbus Blvd. We will resume our organized drives in April\, so stay tuned on that. \nWe welcome our New Jersey and Delaware ACNA members to join us.
