If you’re a parent of a teenage driver, you already know the uneasy feeling you get when they venture out into traffic on their own. In reality, you can do more! Sunday, May 18, send/go with your teen to a defensive driving school designed specifically for young drivers. The Tire Rack Street Survival Teen Driving School has added an event at Barber Motorsports Park near Birmingham, less than 2 hours drive from Atlanta. Note that students MUST have a full license and will be driving their own car (or the one in your household that they are most accustomed to driving).
The program fee of $125 is nothing compared to the skills, confidence, and peace of mind you and your teen will get. Parents cannot participate directly in the program but are encouraged to attend. While you’re there, check out the Barber Museum’s incredible collection of vintage cars and motorcycles, open Sunday from Noon to 6:00pm. Bonus points if you can find the exhibits of particular interest to fans of the Four Rings! Let us know if you’re planning to go. We expect to have one or more board members present.
Registration is handled directly by the organizers HERE. Act quickly! There are only a limited number of spots left. If you do miss out, there’s another chance when the event repeats on October 26. We’ll be sure to remind you!
