We’ll meet at 9:30 AM ( location TBD) to head out together for a two-hour drive to Pittsburg, KS. We’ll stop for lunch first at one of the best restaurants in Pittsburg (Mall Deli) then continue on to West Mineral, KS to see Big Brutus, a Bucyrus-Erie model 1850-B electric power shovel, which was the second largest of its type in operation in the 1960s and 1970s. This electric shovel is super cool and people leave in awe of its size. On the way back to KC we’ll make a quick jog over to Amsterdam, MO to visit McBee’s General Store, one of the best homemade bratwurst stores in the midwest.
