On Sunday, August 10, we’re making a day trip to Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, located next to the famous track outside Birmingham, AL. It’s about a 90 minute drive due west on I-20, but if you’re in the mood to get an early start, a group of us will take the fun route via Talladega Scenic Highway.
We will arrive in time for lunch at 12:00pm at The Backyard with Neighbors at Exit 140 in Leeds, AL. If you don’t take the fun route, you can catch up with us there or show up at the Museum at 1:30pm for a joint tour of the amazing collection of vintage race cars and motorcycles.
Museum admission is $20 for adults, $15 for kids, payable at the door. Registration, $10 per participant, will be handled via PayPal as usual. Be sure to indicate which of the three stages you intend to participate in. All other costs are paid by members individually.
We will share the route via Roadstr invite directly to all who register. If you’re not a Roadstr user yet, download the app now and get your account set up. Meet us at Racetrack in Villa Rica, GA (I-20, Exit 24) at 9:00am to join the fun drive.
