| It is time to hold Georgia Chapter elections for the 2027 calendar year. As previously announced, all current board members will be retiring at the end of 2026, and this year’s election will select an entirely new Board of Directors. Anyone who has been a member in good standing for at least one year is eligible to run for a Board of Directors position.
Board members are elected for a two year term. The newly elected board will appoint a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer at its first meeting in January 2027. The Board of Directors oversees operations of the club at the President’s direction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning and coordinating events throughout the year, attending monthly meetings and events, chairing active committees and sub-committees, assisting the National Board of Directors as needed, and implementing and updating chapter bylaws. Specific opportunities for you to contribute are available are in the areas of Driving Event Planning, Social Event Planning, Administration, Accounting, Communications, Sponsor Relations, Information Management, Supply Management. Each board member will chair one or more of the committees responsible for these areas. If you wish to run for a seat on the Board of Directors, please submit a self-nomination using the red button below. Nominating someone other than yourself is not permitted. Your nomination is due by November 6, 2026. Eligible nominees will be added to an electronic ballot, which will be available to all current Georgia Chapter members from November 8 through December 8, 2026. Remember that one family member of each registered member’s household is also eligible to vote. Votes will be tallied during the second week of December and the results verified and announced shortly thereafter. |
