Event Report: Audi Club Rocky Mountain 2020 Fall Tour

As winter hits Colorado, people flock to the mountains in droves to witness the beautiful colors of the aspen trees as their leaves begin to turn. And as Audi owners, we never miss a chance to drive the mountain roads. These thoughts led to a drive planned by Shaun Seela.Considering the amount of people that really do hit the mountains specifically in September and because the drive was planned for a Sunday, Shaun decided to keep it to a half day drive so that everyone would have time to make it back to their respective towns on Sunday afternoon.

We began our journey with 13 cars and 18 people receiving a brief welcome, introduction and safety spiel in a Safeway parking lot in Littleton before heading west. We took I-70 out to Loveland Pass and even though there was an early freeze at the beginning of September, we were very lucky to see quite a few of aspens with their leaves still at a turning point. After stopping at the top of the pass for a break and sight-seeing, we continued our drive down and around Dillon reservoir, and ended in Silverthorne at Timberline Craft Kitchen where participants had the option to purchase lunch before heading back into Denver. Keep an eye out on our website for more event.
