Event: Horch Gathering at Audi Forum Ingolstadt

Audi Club member Joey Bak just happens to be in Germany this summer doing some sight-seeing. Like so many of us who find ourselves in Bavaria, Joey had to make the gratuitous pilgrimage to the Audi Forum Ingolstadt. As he was wandering through the piazza near the Audi museum mobile, he happened to notice a gathering of pre-war Horch automobiles.

For those who don’t know, Audi was founded by August Horch. Prior to forming Audi, Horch formed a brand under his own name. After selling that brand and losing rights to the name, he decided to switch from German to Latin by switching from Horch (German for “Hark” or “Listen” to the latin “Audi”). That was 100 years ago this year, and Audi Tradition has been celebrating this birthday with various events including this gathering.

Joey was kind enough to snap plenty of photos and even capture some video. Check them out below and thanks to Joey for sharing them with the Audi Club North America blog.
