My love for the VW/Audi scene started from the first Fast and Furious movie believe or not. The one lone VW reminded me of myself. The one who wanted to be different from the rest. Upon purchasing my first VW I met a group of people that were like nothing that I could explain. Through my love of VWs, I eventually started in the Audi scene where I purchased my first B5 A4 and later my B5 S4, I eventually sold both vehicles (big mistake) but I couldn’t shake my love for those four rings. My wife definitely kept that spark alive with her love for Audis as well. So we have have two matching SQ5s and now I have become the Coastal Area Director (South). With this position I intend to build on the friendships I’ve made over the years and create new friendships with people I hope to meet soon. My hopes are to develop this area into one that host meets, cruises, and eventually give back to the community I have lived in all my life.
My first Audi was my current one, a 2013 TTRS, which I found in February of 2020 with only 12,500 miles on it. I had wanted one ever since Audi first announced in 2011 they would bring over the 8J TTRS for a limited two year run only. Life happened, priorities changed, and I thought I had missed my opportunity of everything finding a low-mileage one, until I literally stumbled upon this one. I thoroughly enjoy mountain runs in it, made even better by my wife being a fantastic passenger who shares my enthusiasm for great cars and great people. In August of 2021, I planned and led the Carolinas chapter’s first annual Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (a nod to my 26 years of military service) run, a 100+ mile out and back up some of the best kept secret roads the Upstate region of SC has to offer! Including the highest point along the entire Blue Ridge Parkway at 6,053’, as well as the highest point in South Carolina, Sassafras Mountain, the views were just as appealing as the twisties. I look forward to organizing more mountain runs, promoting the Audi club through local events, and doing fundraising with the 809 Foundation, a Back the Blue charity organization out of Rock Hill, SC
I am an average Joe, started my career at Volkswagen as a technician and then left VW dealerships for the V.A.G aftermarket performance shops. Fast forward 15 years and I now work at a speed shop that is local here in Wilmington NC called National Speed as a build designer (essentially I get to research and spec out bad ass builds for other people all day). I am a father of 2 girls (14 and 1) and have an amazing wife Stacie. I love cars, have since I was a very young kid, it’s in my blood and it’s what makes me…..well me.
Fall means a few things here for us here in the Carolinas, leaves changing color, temperatures falling, college football, and Treffen! We had 55 cars on 19 different drives. Huge thanks to Carol and Pat Monnot and the 2021 Treffen event crew for putting on another big event! Thank you to our supporting sponsors and guests for making this a very memorable three days! Join the Audi Club Carolinas with our tour of the North Carolina coast at the Outer Banks and visit some of the beautiful sites and beaches. We are fortunate enough in the Carolinas to have both mountains and beaches. This event will be different from Treffen as this event is aimed to stop and take in the sites and be much slower paced. This event is family friendly so bring the kids!
Audi Club Carolinas, invites you to mark your calendars for this event. I’ve rescheduled this event to the Fall of 2021. The winery has just recently re-opened, but the restaurant remains closed, due to COVID19 fallout. Cooler weather, leaves, Fall scenery, etc make October more appealing. Great turnout last time with awesome weather, twisty roads, amazing scenery, fantastic Audis, the majestic winery, and hardcore enthusiasts. We will meet up initially around 9AM at Starbucks. From there, we’ll cruise up to the Blue Ridge Parkway just inside Virginia, for over 30 miles of scenic twists and turns. This time we’ll be adding more to the route, to increase the fun factor! Our Audis will travel the distance until we reach Parkway Grille in Floyd, VA, for lunch. Then we’ll travel to Chateau Morrisette Winery, where we will gather for photos, and have an opportunity for an optional wine tasting.

It’s October and we will be having an Octoberfest style celebration with our host @Lore Brewing Company. We will be sampling beer and they will be offering some favorites like beer cheese and pretzels. They will also have flat breads, salads, etc. from their new menu. We raising awareness and funds/ supplies for the South Charlotte Dog Rescue! We will also be having a trunk or Treat style event! Bring the kids and let’s have a good time in some kid friendly costumes!
Audi Club North America in conjunction with BMW CCA and Mercedes-Benz Club of America invites you to join us for the “Legends of the Autobahn-East”. Audi registration is now open. The all German marque Concours d’Elegance that has become a staple of Monterey Car Week will hold their inaugural event on the east coast as part of the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival. LOTA-East will be held on Saturday November 6, 2021 on the grounds of the Port Royal Golf Club. Additional Motoring Festival events November 6 & 7 include the Car Club Showcase, Aero Expo and the Concours d’Elegance.
We will be having a Toys4tots drive to gather as many toys as we can. We will be joining a local Charlotte BMW club as well to promote more collaboration of our two clubs and help support a very important cause. All are welcome and there will be bragging rights at stake for which side brings the most cars. So let’s make sure we have as many Audis we can show up. This is out of fun, but want to make sure the most important aspect of this event is the toy drive and shared love of cars. Dynamic Auto Tune and LiquiMoly are helping host this event along with the SouthPark Mall.
