However Auto Express is reporting that the TT could become an electric-only model. They caught up with Hans-Joachim Rothenpieler, Audi Board member of Technical Development, at the Audi annual conference.
“The TT is emotional to us; we’ve been having emotional discussions at the board level,” Rothenpieler said. “Some people say we should stop it but I say that it’s part of our DNA. We’re fighting for it. We want it. It’s our DNA and that’s what we’re fighting for. I’m going to convince my colleagues on how it can be electrified.”
With the push for electrification, this may come as no surprise but it’s sure good to hear specifically to the TT.
Oh and he mentioned the same may apply to the R8.
