Say what you will about EVs, but the Audi RS e-tron GT Performance is a powerful, fast and beautiful machine. And according to a recent review by Carscoops, it is one of the finest EVs on sale today.

We think the RS e-tron GT Performance is one of the best-looking cars on the market today, let alone EVs. The folks at Carscoops agree. The only let down in the looks department is that the S e-tron GT looks nearly as good at a significantly reduced price. But that is truly picking nits.

Where there are no complaints are in the engine room. Or shall we say the battery compartment? With 912 horsepower at your command, this is currently the most powerful Audi in the entire lineup. 60 mph arrives in about 2.5 seconds.

Step inside the car and you are greeted by a luxurious and sporty cabin. It is highlighted by a flat-bottom and flat-top Alcantara steering wheel with bright red Boost and RS buttons. The test car wore the optional Matte carbon camouflage package, which is known as the Forged Carbon package here in the U.S. The package adds a bunch of carbon fiber, the most striking are the forged carbon interior inlays. It looks like something lifted directly from Lamborghini.

But the big story with this powerful EV is the way it accelerates. In a word. Brutal. You are thrown back in your seat as the Audi leaps forward with unrelenting speed. Carscoops described it as “absolutely mesmerizing.”

But it is not just a one trick pony either. The RS e-tron GT Performance’s new active suspension builds on the previous setup with Porsche Taycan-like tech, combining air suspension and advanced dampers to eliminate body roll and even lean into corners in Comfort mode. Despite its weight, the car stays impressively flat at speed, while a clever ride-height feature raises the car for easier entry and exit. For all the speed and handling the car offers, it remains extremely comfortable.

The RS e-tron GT Performance delivers supercar-level performance and an engaging driving experience, though its big performance gains come with a steep price. But one thing we have seen before with these is that they depreciate rapidly. So, if you can hold off a bit, a 2026 RS e-tron GT Performance might be the deal of the century in 2029.
