Audi RS 3 Sedan Spied on the Nürburgring…Again

With the regular Audi A3 sedan out and official, there is no need for Audi to hide the upcoming RS 3 in full camo anymore except for the RS parts.

We have spied the upcoming Audi RS 3 sedan several times before but they were always more of mules with a modified A3 bodies than actual production ready prototypes. The wider front fenders where really unfinished and so.

But this has all changed now with the latest photos showing an Audi RS 3 sedan prototype in less camouflage and with the correct fenders all around. We also notice that there is an air outlet hidden under camouflage at the area behind the front wheel. Wider fenders need wider side sills and they are also present on this car as well as the production rear bumper with nice integrated big oval exhaust pipes.

We can also see a little rear spoiler at the back.

Set for an debut in late 2020 or early 2021, the new RS 3 and RS 3 sedan will get an updated version of the 2.5 liter 5-cylinder turbo engine found in the current RS 3 where it develops 400 horsepower. We expect a smaller power bump in the new version even if we also expect the usage of a particle filter to be used in order to keep emissions lower.
