HERNDON – The 2019 Audi Q7 has been named a 2019 Car and Driver 10Best winner in the mid-size luxury SUV category. This is the third year in a row that the Audi Q7 has been awarded this honor, which was announced this week at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Car and Driver stated, “In our final analysis, this is the most well rounded, high-value and trustworthy SUV in its segment. Maybe in all SUV-dom.”

“The Audi Q7 delivers what our customers expect from a luxury seven-passenger SUV, including a striking design, benchmark connectivity, infotainment and driver assistance technologies and exceptionally competent driving dynamics,” said Filip Brabec, vice president, Product Management, Audi of America. “It is an honor for the Q7 to be recognized as a Car and Driver 10Best for the third year in a row, and it demonstrates the Audi expertise in crafting luxury SUVs.”

The Audi Q7 has a powerful and distinctive presence on the road, through its sculpted body and taunt design lines giving it a striking yet lean appearance. The interior of the Q7 represents the higher standard being set by Audi for its premium comfort and connectivity solutions matched by the brand’s signature fit and finish. Standard panoramic sunroof brings light into the cabin while the available Bang & Olufsen® 3D Advanced Sound System creates a true-to-life musical experience in the interior.

The Q7 integrates benchmark technologies including standard Audi smartphone interface, which provides Apple CarPlay® and Google™ Android Auto integration for compatible mobile devices, available Audi virtual cockpit and full color head-up display, standard Audi MMI Navigation plus with MMI® all-in touch and available Audi phone box with wireless charging and antenna booster.

In addition to infotainment and connectivity features, the advanced Audi Q7 driver assistance systems are designed to help drivers navigate the road and traffic with confidence. Standard Audi pre sense® basic can help prepare the vehicle for a potential impact in the case of an impending front collision, and available Audi side assist helps provide blind spot monitoring with LED indicators on the side-view mirror housing.

Two powertrain combinations are offered on the 2019 Q7 – a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine or a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Both engines are equipped with quattro® all-wheel drive and an eight-speed Tiptronic® transmission.

Car and Driver’s “10Best Trucks and SUVs” awards are inclusive of 10 categories, ranging from full-size pickup, mid-size pickup, and van, as well as seven SUV categories broken down by size and separated into luxury and non-luxury branches.

Nominees for this year’s 10Best Trucks and SUVs consist of all-new or significantly updated vehicles. All vehicles must fall under the base-price cap of $90,000 and be on sale in February 2018.
