Audi “House of Progress” Opens at AutoStadt in Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg, GERMANY – As an attractive location for forward-looking mobility, the Autostadt in Wolfsburg presents the first permanent “Audi House of Progress”. From the 22nd In March, the Audi brand makes the values of sustainability, digitization, performance and design tangible for visitors with its newly designed exhibition. The future-oriented automobile manufacturer presents current vehicle models, visionary concept cars and the latest digital technologies and also offers a look at the first-class automotive comfort of tomorrow. On the occasion of the opening of the newly designed Audi Experience Center, there are three additional Audi vehicle exhibits in the Piazza. Matching the homeland, there is typical Bavarian home cooking in the restaurant Lagune. And for all Audi fans, the Autostadt offers on Sunday, the 26th. March, a meeting where unique and converted Audi vehicles can be admired as part of an open-air exhibition in the park.

The result shows that the effort was worth it and that the Autostadt continues to gain in attractiveness.”

“Audi House of Progress” – the new exhibition concept
After several months of conversion phase, the Autostadt will present from the 22nd March the first permanent “Audi House of Progress” and differs from locations such as Vienna, Seoul and Milan, which act as temporary meeting places with the brand. With the “Audi House of Progress” the brand makes its values of sustainability, digitization, performance and design tangible. At the same time, it presents its transformation to electromobility.

With the Audi House of Progress, the brand also realizes its sustainability claim. Because behind the concept is, among other things, the idea of acting in the spirit of sustainability and not having to completely rebuild the pavilion in new exhibition exhibits. Only the exhibits and the furniture are exchanged.

Current vehicle models, visionary concept cars and the latest digital technologies
With the “Table of Visions” visitors are already taught the future visions of the brand in the entrance area of the pavilion. At the first exhibition level, Audi deals with the values of “digitization” and “design”: In addition to the concept car Audi A6 e-tron concept and the plug-in hybrid Audi A8 60 TFSI e (fuel consumption combined in l/100 km: 2.1-1.7; electricity consumption combined in kWh/100 km: 23.6–21.9; CO2 emissions combined in g/ Guests experience the possibilities of today’s Audi technology through the OLED matrix rear lights presented on a lowboard and the headlights of an Audi A6 e-tron-concept model, which provide playful animations and light projections. In addition, 3D-printed vases present the current Audi paint colors.

A ground projection, resulting from the audio signal of a film shown on site, leads the guests to the second exhibition level. There, the brand mainly deals with the performance, which is brought closer to visitors on the basis of the Audi RS e-tron GT vehicle models (electricity consumption combined in kWh/100 km: 22.1–19.8; CO2 emissions combined in g/km: 0), Audi Q4 e-tron (electricity consumption combined in kWh/100 km: 20.2-16.1; CO

The “Blog of Progress” is the heart of the Audi House of Progress. This is a projection screen that presents real-time content from daily highlight topics of the Audi brand and the brand focuses. This “Blog of Progress” connects both exhibition levels with the entrance area. At the end of the tour, guests experience a highlight: Thanks to a social media installation, they can sit in the back seat of a concept car.

Accompanying Audi attractions and activities in the theme park
On the occasion of the opening of the newly designed Audi experience center, there are further highlights for guests in the Autostadt: Three additional Audi vehicle models – including two concept cars and an e-tron model – can be seen in the Piazza. With the concept cars Audi Avus quattro and Audi RSQ, Autostadt presents two future-oriented sports car studies of the Audi brand. The Audi RSQ is the futuristic film car, which was specially designed for the science fiction movie “I, Robot”. In addition to the two concept cars, visitors can also look forward to the Audi RS e-tron GT (electricity consumption combined in kWh/100 km: 22.1-19.8; CO2 emissions combined in g/km: 0; information on fuel/electricity consumption and CO2 emissions at ranges depending on the tire/wheel set used and the selected equipment of the vehicle).

The physical well-being is also taken care of. In keeping with the reopening of the Audi pavilion, the Autostadt Restaurant Lagune offers a variety of Bavarian delicacies: Guests can look forward to delicious specialties – from white sausage to schnitzel to Buchteln and Kaiserschmarrn. For all Audi fans, the Autostadt also offers on Sunday, the 26th. March, the ultimate experience: As part of an open-air exhibition, unique and converted Audi vehicles can be admired in the park and offer the perfect place for a joint exchange and talk shop with the Audi community.
