We’re always fans of tailored builds from the catalogue of Audi exclusive, even moreso though when the person choosing the car’s final spec goes with something both familiar and yet not terribly common. Such a move, as seen here on this Graphite Blue RS 3 at Audi Fort Collins, tends to give a fresh look to both a familiar a car a perhaps familiar paint color should you also be a Porsche fan.
Of course, the RS 3 needs no introduction. Audi’s A3 sedan fitted with the brand’s best sporting kit including its highly-potent five-pot 2.5 TFSI has been making its fair share of friends since hitting the market last summer. Graphite Blue may be less of a known quantity.
For the uninitiated, Graphite Blue is a standard and relatively common color in the current Porsche catalogue. It can be chosen on most models, and in as much you may have seen it before and simply never registered it. On the RS 3 though, it takes on a new feel… and particularly when paired with black optics and the red accent work one expects from an Audi RS-car.
The car you see here has come available as new at Audi Fort Collins in Ford Collins, CO. In addition to the Audi exclusive color ($3,900), it also features black leather with Cresendo Red stitching, Dynamic plus Package ($4,800), Technology Package ($3,200), Dynamic Package ($1,450), Black optic package ($1,300), RS-design package ($1,000), carbon fiber mirror caps ($700) and RS carbon decorative inlays ($600). Add in the $975 destination charge and this car weighs in at $72,825.
