To save you time, in this Auction Watch series we’re monitoring numerous auction sites for Ingolstadt’s finest up for auction. And speaking of dream cars, the big Car Week is coming up in and around Monterey, California. While nothing old and exceptional from any of the Auto Union brands look to be on the major auction house dockets, two modern classics are coming up. A No Reserve 2008 Audi R8, 1 of 240 for the US market and originally owned by Juan Pablo Montoya, will be offered by Broad Arrow Auctions at the Monterey Jet Center Auction on 18 August. 2001 Audi S8 (129,000 Miles)

Bid today or miss out! No Reserve. A rare-ish car – the 1st gen S8 has a lot going for it. Powered by a 4.2L V8, factory rating 360HP/317 lb-ft, and mated to a 5-speed automatic, it rides on 18-inch Avus wheels and sport suspension. Under the power solar sunroof are black leather/Alcantara heated front seats with memory, an Audi Symphony radio, and Bose sound. Carfax reports no issues.
2015 Audi S4 (57,000 Miles)

Another listing ending today! This Canadian import has a few tricks up its sleeve. The supercharged 3.0L V6 has Unitronic’s Stage 1+ tune and an Integrated Engineering cold-air intake so it should put out about 417HP/365 lb-ft to the 6-speed manual and Sport diff. The Sepang Blue body, with two-tone Lunar Silver leather seats and black interior, rides on Solo Werks coilovers and 19” “peelers” from an S5. The Carfax report lists no accidents or discrepancies.
1995 Audi RS 2 Avant (80,000 Kilometers/49,000 Miles)

Audi and Porsche co-developed the RS2, the evidence is right there under the hood – on the turbocharged 2.2L I5 factory rated at 311HP/302 lb-ft. That power is sent through a 6-speed manual to a Torsen center differential and a locking rear diff. This example is finished in red over black with leather Recaro sport seats; it’s modified with an aftermarket stainless-steel exhaust, 2.0T FSI ignition coils, and KW coilovers. The car was imported to the US in May 2022.
2000 Audi TT Coupe (52,000 Miles)

No Reserve. One owner, low mileage! Painted Denim Blue Pearl Effect over Denim Blue leather seats and black interior, it could be Jay Leno’s dream car. The 1.8L I4 made 180HP/173 lb-ft when factory fresh and those ponies run through a 5-speed gearbox. The Carfax report states the timing belt and water pump were replaced at 35K miles, also that minor damage occurred to the car’s rear in September 2019.
2007 Audi RS 4 (129,000 Miles)

The first white RS 4 seen in Auction Watch, it could be an Audi Exclusive special order. The powertrain is an unmodified 4.2L V8 (420HP/317 lb-ft) and 6-speed manual. The suspension is enhanced with KW V3 coilovers and the car’s nose now sports a Euro-style front bumper cover. Carfax reports two damage incidents: June 2011 and November 2016 to the car’s rear.
2010 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (29,000 Miles)

The 5.2L V10 is factory rated at 525 HP/391 lb-ft and mates to a 6-speed R-tronic. Suspension mods are BC Racing adjustable coilovers and a KW electronic damping cancellation kit. It’s finished in Phantom Black Pearl Effect with Lava Gray sideblades over a black interior with Tuscan Brown leather seats/door cards. It’s murdered out with gloss black grille, window tint, gloss black badges, and a mesh engine cover insert. The Carfax report may be accident-free but owner #4 had the alignment checked 17 times. What’s up with that?
2005 Audi S4 Avant (165,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Nogaro Blue Pearl over black interior with wood trim and leather Recaros…take my money! It’s motivated by a 4.2L V8 (340HP/302 lb-ft) and a 6-speed Tiptronic rolling on 18” Avus wheels suspended by Bilstein coilovers. Whoa power is courtesy of four-wheel slotted/cross-drilled StopTech rotors and 309 pads. Please read the listing for recent service and the comments for engine/transmission ideas. The Carfax report is as clean as the car.
2007 Audi A6 3.2 Avant (106,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Stately Daytona Gray Pearl over black/Beige leather interior with wood trim. Nicely optioned with the S Line Sport, the Convenience, and the Technology packages, it also sports Cowvie roof rack crossbars and Yakima bike rack. Drivetrain is a 3.2L V6 (255HP/243 lb-ft) and a 6-speed automatic. See the listing for detail on the illuminated check engine light and recent service history. The Carfax report is clean.
2011 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (37,000 Miles)

Another low mileage R8, this one with the 5.2L V10 factory rated at 525 HP/391 lb-ft that connects to a 6-speed R-tronic. The listing states Audi exclusive color, possibly Imola Yellow, and it has a contrasting black interior. Paint protection film on the front and sides should protect that paint and a K40 radar detector should protect your license. The Carfax report lists no accidents or damage.
1983 Audi Coupe GT (139,000 Miles)

No Reserve. A step down from what one expects from the Quattro rally vinyl wrap livery, this classic is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.1L I5 factory rated at 128HP/126 lb-ft. That output is channeled thru a 5-speed manual to the front wheels only. Mods include Hella fog lights, Audi mud flaps, a “Nuattro” rear badge, and muffler delete. It’s showing its age but could make a great project car.
