Guten Tag Audi enthusiasts! Searching through the internet’s multiple car auction sites for a specific model, while fun, can take up your valuable time. So let us do some of the daily grind for you. Auction Watch monitors auction sites for Audi models worthy of your bids. Here in weekly Auction Watch, we post a short report with key data, a few pictures, and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi you’re looking for in time to bid on it.
A few days ago I watched a Lucky Lopez YouTube video from 25 July titled Selling Stolen Cars. I highly recommend that you watch it too if you’re thinking of buying a car on-line. It will clue you in to the many ways to protect yourself from fraud. Now I’ll know what to watch out for in Carfax reports and won’t cover any cars with suspicious vehicle histories. As you browse through this week’s listings, highlighted by two “exclusive” cars with an “8” in their model designation, please think about how you can verify a car’s details before you bid. 2003 Audi S8 (181,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends mid this PM! No Reserve. It’s painted Avus Silver, that’s over a black cabin with Oxblood Red leather seats and door trim. The 4.2L V8, Audi rated at 360HP/317 lb-ft, wears later-model valve covers and ignition coils, had its timing belt, water pump, wheel bearings, valve covers, knock sensors, and primary oxygen sensors replaced during current ownership, and also has a 6-speed manual swap with a 034Motorsport short-shift kit. A dent above the right headlight and damage on the bumpers may be due to an October 2018 Carfax report of front-end damage.
2016 Audi A7 (93,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends mid this PM! This Sportback is finished in Oolong Gray metallic that has a very unhappy driver’s side rear quarter panel (see picture below) that isn’t listed as damage in the Carfax report; however, an April 2023 accident resulting in front end damage is listed. The 3.0L supercharged V6 runs an APR Stage 1 ECU tune and sends that enhanced power to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Please read the listing for other cosmetic mods, known flaws, comments, and review the pictures carefully.
2013 Audi Q7 TDI (33,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Low mileage and all set-up for off-road with 18″ Victor Equipment wheels wearing 275/70 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires and a 3″ Eurowise suspension lift. The 3.0L turbodiesel V6, Audi rated at 240HP/406 lb-ft, is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic. The truck is a Prestige trim level and is listed as silver over a black interior with leather seats, wood trim, and Bose Surround Sound. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2017 Audi S6 (67,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Sepang Blue pearl with Black Optics Prestige model is optioned with the Sport and Driver Assistance packages. The black interior has diamond-stitched leather seats and black wood/layered aluminum trim. Power comes from a 4.0L twin-turbo V8, Audi rated at 450HP/406 lb-ft, and a 7-speed S tronic. The car’s covered by a Max Care service contract until February 2, 2025/100,000 miles, whichever comes first, transferable to the next owner for $30 and will be paid for by the seller. Carfax reports an accident in August 2017 and the seller reports debris damage in December 2022.
2002 Audi TT Roadster (72,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Painted Amulet Red with a power-retractable black soft top (the rear window’s lower-right corner resealed in 2015), it has a black interior with Ebony leather seats. The common display pixels problem was fixed in May 2021 with a rebuilt instrument cluster. The turbocharged 1.8L I4 (225HP/207 lb-ft) had its timing belt and air conditioning compressor replaced in August 2015; the transmission is a 6-speed manual. Carfax reports only two long-term owners, no accidents/damage, but the 2015 date code on the tires means they’re ready for replacement.
2020 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (6,000 Miles)

Does that Audi Exclusive Rubino Red paint with carbon fiber sideblades, tinted windows, and black badges/rings look sharp or what? And its worn paint protection film since delivery. The black cabin features leather bucket seats with diamond-patterned inserts and carbon fiber trim on the dash, center stack, and door panels. The 5.2L V10, dressed up with even more carbon fiber, is factory rated at 562HP/406 lb-ft and sends its power to a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2018 Audi S5 Sportback (43,000 Miles)

This generation S5 is powered by a turbocharged 3.0L V6 (354HP/396 lb-ft) and has an 8-speed Tiptronic. It’s a Prestige trim level car wearing Daytona Gray pearl paint and XPEL XR window tint over a black interior with Fine Nappa leather seats, Carbon Atlas inlays, and a Driver Assistance package. An S Sport package adds red brake calipers, adaptive damping suspension, and Sport diff. The Carfax report is clean.
2014 Audi A7 TDI (89,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Another 7 series sportback, this time powered by a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel Audi rated at 240HP/428 lb-ft and mated to an 8-speed automatic. The Glacier White metallic S line body is enhanced with 19” S5 wheels, de-chromed exterior trim, and RS7-style front grille. The Prestige level trim adds nice-to-have features to the Velvet Beige/black interior with a Drivers Assistance package, walnut trim, WeatherTech floor mats, an aftermarket touchscreen head unit, and an aftermarket subwoofer and amplifier. Carfax reports an accident with another vehicle in August 2021 resulting in minor damage to the front. A lemon Squad report is also included.
1990 Audi Coupe (125,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Shiny Tornado Red over gray leather seats, wood trim and a Blaupunkt Madison CD stereo. The 2.3L I5 was factory rated at 164HP/157 lb-ft when new and this one now runs with a high-flow air intake, a lightweight flywheel, and a sport exhaust. The chassis is equipped with lowering springs paired with Koni dampers, a rear anti-roll bar, and a rear shock-tower brace; Brembo front brake calipers with larger front rotors stop the 16″ Mille Miglia alloy wheels. 2016 Audi A8 L (40,000 Miles)

It may be Florett Silver metallic on the outside but it’s the Night Blue interior that’s amazing. Check out the optional $28,880 Audi exclusive and $10,250 executive rear seat packages. But wait, there’s more: B&O Advanced Sound, full leather, Drivers Assistance and Dynamic packages. OBTW, it has a twin-turbo 4.0L V8 (450HP/444 lb-ft) mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic. The car has a clean Carfax report.
2002 Audi S6 Avant (96,000 Miles)

No Reserve. According to Audi’s archives, this is 1 of 882 S6 Avants were sold here in 2002. It’s finished in Light Silver metallic over a black interior with leather seats, wood trim, Bose sound, and an Alcantara headliner. My guess is the driver’s seat base has been recovered as it looks better than all the other seats. The selling dealer reports the 4.2L V8 (340HP/310 lb-ft) had its timing belt, tensioners, and rollers replaced along with water pump and thermostat. It has a clean Carfax report too.
2011 Audi S4 (83,000 Miles)

Imola Yellow means never losing your car in the parking lot. That bold color is over a Prestige trim level black interior with leather/Alcantara seats, aluminum trim and B&O sound. Drivetrain is a 3.0L supercharged V6 mated to a 7-speed S tronic and optional sport diff. Mods highlights include a STaSIS ECU tune, STaSIS lowering springs, a STaSIS Challenge exhaust, an ECS Tuning trunk lid spoiler, gunmetal powder-coated factory wheels, and an RS4-style front grille. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
1997 Audi A3 (235,000 Kilometers/146,000 Miles)

No Reserve. A first on Auction Watch: a European-spec Gen 1 A3. Imported from Germany in 2014, it’s now registered in Ontario, Canada. Listed as red over a gray interior with cloth seats and A/C. Mods include aftermarket coilovers, aftermarket shift knob, and a Sony CD player with subwoofer. The engine is a 1.8L I4, factory rated at 125HP/125 lb-ft of torque, and it spins a 5-speed manual. The Carfax report begins in 2016 and flags an accident in August 2022 resulting in minor damage to the left side (see picture of broken mirror).
