Hello again Audi aficionados! Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights, and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.
Last week, an 8,000-mile 2010 R8 (V8 with a 6-speed) that bid to $80,000 on BaT but failed to sell immediately relisted on Pcarmarket. The danger of doing this is that you become your own ‘comp’ as they say in the real estate market. It only bid to $77,750, then went into Pcarmarket’s Deal Tank asking $92,500, and an offer of $85,000 was accepted early this week. Happy ending?
We have one special edition model this week: a 2002 Audi TT ALMS Commemorative Edition. A thousand of these coupes were built, 500 in Lake Silver and the rest in Misano Red pearl which includes this week’s example. The 4- and 5-series are the most populous cars this week at four each; there are three RS model, three S model cabriolets and a sedan, plus an A coupe. Then there are three each of 6-series and TT models (including the ALMS Edition). My pick of the week is a 2011 S5 Cabriolet with only 22,000 miles on it. Bid quickly, auction ends early this PM! No Reserve. Original owner long roof and someone’s hobby based on the number of mods. The twin-turbo 2.7L V6 is modified (please read the listing for details and extensive service records) and mates to a swapped-in 6-speed manual with a South Bend Stage 3 Daily clutch and actuated by a JH Motorsports Trio short-shifter. The exterior is Light Silver metallic with black cladding/bumpers; the interior has black/gray leather seats, wood trim, and a 6-disc Audi Symphony CD/cassette stereo with Bose sound. Carfax reports damage to the rear in April 2015 and minor damage to the left side and left rear in June 2015. Paintless dent repairs were completed in May 2023 following a hail storm.

This full-size, Prestige trim-level SUV is listed as black (Brilliant?) over a black interior that has heated/ventilated leather front seats, Burl wood trim, a Luxury Package adds an Alcantara headliner and extended leather on the center console and door armrests, and Bose sound. The 3.0 turbodiesel V6 (240HP/406 lb-ft) has its TDI Recall Proof of Completion sticker and connects to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports minor damage to the rear in June 2018.
2002 Audi TT ALMS Commemorative Edition (6,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends late PM today! Haven’t seen one of these in a while, 1 of 1,000 examples built to pay tribute to Audi’s American Le Mans Series wins and championships in 2000 and 2001. There were 500 built in Misano Red pearl and the black cabin has Silver Silk Nappa leather seats, steering wheel and door panels, an Audi Concert CD stereo with Bose sound, and a custom aluminum shift knob and surround made by the seller. Other mods include Bilstein dampers, Eibach springs, and 15mm front and 20mm rear H&R wheel spacers. The 1.8L I4 is factory rated at 225HP/207 lb-ft and exhales through an aftermarket cat-back exhaust. The Carfax report is clean but the seller states that the battery requires replacement.
2012 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (53,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends late PM today! At last, a 2012 R8 Spyder that has miles on the clock, although owner #4 didn’t drive it much. Hopefully someone enjoyed the 5.2L V10 that’s modified with BMC air filters, APR engine management software, and GMG Racing World Challenge exhaust. The enhanced power flows to a 6-speed R tronic. Other mods are H&R RSS+ coilovers and 20″ Vorsteiner forged wheels. The exterior is Phantom Black pearl with a black soft top, the black interior has an Enhanced Leather package with contrasting red stitching, Carbon Sigma trim, white instrument dials, B&O sound, and an infotainment system with Audi Navigation Plus. The Carfax report is clean.
2001 Audi TT Roadster 225 (39,000 Miles)

No Reserve. The popular Lake Silver metallic finish with black soft top over a black cabin with heated Ebony leather seats, an Audi Concert cassette stereo with a six-disc CD changer and Bose sound, and a glass wind deflector that had its drive belt replaced in May 2022. The 1.8L I4 is Audi rated at 225HP/207 lb-ft and spins a 6-speed manual. Service in May 2022 included a coolant flush and replacing the cabin and air filters, spark plugs, and serpentine belt and tensioner. The Carfax report is clean but the tires carry 2015 date codes.
2007 Audi RS 4 (83,000 Miles)

The drivetrain is a 4.2L V8 (420HP/317 lb-ft) that exhales into a JH Motorsports downpipe and cat-back exhaust mated to a 6-speed manual. A Forge oil cooler was installed in April 2022. Intake carbon cleaning was done in October 2022 at which time the intake flaps were removed and the spark plugs, fuel pressure regulator valve, valley pan gasket, and high-pressure fuel sensor were replaced. Please read the listing for more mods. The exterior is Phantom Black pearl. The black interior has leather Recaro front seats, a CD stereo with Bose sound, and Fly Designs flat-bottom steering wheel. The Carfax report is clean.
2007 Audi S4 Cabriolet (75,000 Miles)

This drophead coupe is listed as black (Brilliant?) with a black soft top over black interior with black-piped light gray leather seats and door panels, carbon fiber trim, and Bose Premium sound. The N/A 4.2L V8 is factory rated at 340HP/302 lb-ft and connects to a 6-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but there is discoloration on the outer driver’s seat bolster.
2019 Audi RS 5 Sportback (49,000 Miles)

The colors are Daytona Gray pearl outside, black inside with Rock Gray contrasting stitching. The twin-turbo 2.9L V6 is Audi rated at 444HP/443 lb-ft and it sends that power to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.
2014 Audi RS 5 Coupe (19,000 Miles)

No Reserve. As you can tell from the stance, H&R springs have been installed on this coupe that’s finished in Audi Exclusive Aviator Grey pearl with a Black Optic package and tinted windows. The black interior has leather/Alcantara seats, carbon fiber trim, an Audi MMI Navigation Plus package, B&O sound, and an RSNav device that allows for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The 4.2L V8 (450HP/317 lb-ft) exhales through an ECS Tuning X-pipe and powers a 7-speed S tronic and sports diff. The Carfax report is clean.

No Reserve. Here’s something we’ve never seen before on Auction Watch: a baseball optic package in Ebony leather instead of Amber Red. It doesn’t pop as much in this Ocean Blue pearl Mark I but it is neat none the less. That black interior also has an Audi Concert CD stereo, a CD changer, and Bose sound. The exterior color is complemented with a blue soft top. The turbocharged 1.8L I4 is factory rated at 225HP/207 lb-ft and spins a 6-speed manual. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.

Daytona Gray pearl looks good with black rings over a black interior with leather RS front sport seats with contrasting red stitching, and a Technology Package. Mods include an Akrapovič full titanium exhaust, 19” HRE Classic Series 303M Monoblok wheels, an Eventuri carbon fiber cold air intake, and tinted windows. The drivetrain is a 2.5L I5 and 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports minor damage to the front in April 2021 and a Lemon Squad inspection report is included in the listing.

Attention Western Canada Chapter members, this Mythos Black metallic long roof is in your neighborhood. Essentially a new car with all the Day 2 mods done for you. Those include: an Eventuri carbon-fiber air intake, a CETE suspension lowering module, Akrapovič exhaust components, Thule roof box and cross rails, custom 22″ Corse forged wheels, and paint protection film on the whole body with satin ppf on the hood. The vehicle does not have a title and is being sold on its British Columbia registration, which serves as the ownership document in Canada.

The exterior is Quartz Gray metallic, the interior is black with Nappa leather seats, carbon fiber trim, and 6-disc CD changer with Bose surround sound. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but the right-rear quarter panel was repainted under current ownership.

Inside are Chestnut Brown leather seats and door panels, aluminum trim, and navigation. It rolls on 20” Rotiform RSE wheels stopped by S4 calipers and kept in place by an Air Lift Performance 3P air suspension. Carfax reports an accident in September 2020 resulting in front or side impact, no airbag deployment, but no other details.
