Our Arizona Chapter is always looking for ways to spread the word and continue our explosive membership growth. Knowing Audi owners are born with a dominant Audi gene that causes a need to show the world their “sunglasses before looking” automobiles, our Social Media Director Leanne Kopras thought a photo contest would be an ideal vehicle to create potential new members and have some fun. It was!
Rules called for submissions reflecting anything that reminded them of the fun they have with an Audi lifestyle.
Twenty-two entries were posted to compete for the valuable top prize of a genuine, certified Audi Club AZ polo shirt, some Audi swag and bragging rights to have their photo highlighted as social media profile pictures! We did welcome new members, but it also created much social media interaction, camaraderie and maybe just a little trash talk among our current members as we compared our best shots.
Only members were allowed to enter and were allowed one vote. Entries were posted and voting resulted in Tony Inserra winning the top spot with a sultry shot of his heavily modified B5 S4, then we enter R8 adrenalin territory with John Barbuto and Jim Malestuto to fill out the podium.
Enough happy buzz was created that we will include a couple more contests in next year’s calendar.
