Editor’s Note: I want to start profiling chapter events on our website. If your chapter has an event and you have great photos and someone to write it up, please forward to me at [email protected]. Thank you!

The Concours in the Hills is an annual event that takes place in Fountain Hills, Arizona each February. Unlike most of the country during this time of year, Arizona isn’t under inches of snow or drowning in rain and that weather allows events like this to take place.  The cars and vendors are lined up along the sides of the Fountain Hills park and lake area with the centerpiece being THE fountain. Shooting up to 560ft in the air every 15 minutes, it is a spectacle to see, especially when its lined by millions of dollars of fine automobiles.

This concours is open to all cars with the entry fee going to The Phoenix Childrens’ Hospital. This years goal was to raise enough money to pay for a new playroom for the oncology area of the hospital. At the end of the day they announced that just north of $155,000 was raised from car entry fees, vendors, and donations. That is an amazing number for a car show that goes to a great cause.

Arizona’s ACNA chapter had 25 cars on display in the Audi/German area. We were nicely wedged between the Porsche and BMW owners with everyone getting along and making new friends. From R8’s, A4/S4’s and even a 2000 TT Coupe to a new TT RS, Audi was well represented for the first time at this particular event. Members met new members and walked around the 940+ cars too oogle at oddities from French manufactures to multi-million dollar Ferrari’s and everything in between.

We hope to attend next year with even more 4-Rings and more members to enjoy this unique event for a great cause.
