Audi has recently announced a series of high-level management changes across Audi of America, Audi China, Audi Canada, and Volkswagen in Korea. Current Audi of America President Daniel Weissland, will be succeeded by Vito Paladino, effective April 1, 2026.
Daniel Weissland has served as President of Audi of America since 2019, guiding the brand through one of the most transformative periods in its U.S. history. Before taking on that role, he led Volkswagen Group Canada and Volkswagen Canada as President and CEO, building a strong track record across multiple markets.
Audi of America
During his time at Audi of America, Weissland steered the brand through a series of industry challenges while overseeing the largest product rollout Audi has ever undertaken in the United States. Audi leadership has credited his tenure with strong execution, clear direction, and a sharp focus on customers.
Weissland will be succeeded by Vito Paladino, who currently serves as President and CEO of Volkswagen Group Canada and President of Audi Canada. During more than five years at the helm of Audi Canada, Paladino delivered multiple record-setting results, helping elevate the brand’s standing in the premium segment. Audi leadership credits him with playing a key role in establishing Audi as a leading luxury marque in Canada.
With 27 years of automotive industry experience and deep regional expertise, Paladino is well positioned to further strengthen Audi’s footprint across North America.
Another senior leadership change will take effect on June 1. Matthias Schepers, currently President of Volkswagen Group Japan and Managing Director of Audi Japan, will step into the role of Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Audi China.
Changes in China and Korea
Schepers succeeds Katy Tsang, who is departing Audi China at her own request. Audi leadership praised Tsang’s contributions and credited Schepers with strengthening Audi’s brand in Japan’s premium EV market. During his tenure, he also helped establish the Premium Charging Alliance alongside Porsche and Volkswagen, creating Japan’s largest privately operated fast-charging network.
Michael Arndt, currently President of FAW Audi Sales Company, will assume the role of Managing Director for Volkswagen Passenger Cars in Korea.
“We are decisively strengthening the Audi brand and our sales organization in our core regions. With our model initiative and these high-performing leaders, Audi is well positioned to enhance its competitiveness in both North America and China,” stated Marco Schubert, Member of the Board of Management for Sales and Marketing.
