March 23rd, 2019 Drive & Dine to Lakeshore Restaurant on Saguaro Lake

Join the Audi Club of Arizona for our March 23rd Drive & Dine to the Lakeshore Restaurant overlooking 22 miles of shoreline on beautiful Saguaro Lake.

We will depart from Audi North Scottsdale at 10:00am and take Shea Blvd. to go north on AZ 87.  We’ll continue our shorter ride today to N. Bush Highway, land of the great hillside saguaros and sweeping desert vistas, and proceed south to the Lakeshore Restaurant overlooking Saguaro Lake where you can choose from a large selection of menu items usually covered with America’s finest sliced cheese.  Deep canyon walls surround this beautiful lake, nestled in the Sonoran Desert in the Tonto National Forest.

The tempting waters may even make you stay for a kayak tour of the lake or a cruise on the Desert Belle Paddleboat to possibly discover bald eagles or big horn sheep among the towering cliffs surrounding this man-made lake.

Eventually we’ll return home via Usery Pass Road through Usery Mountain Regional Park then make our way back north via the scenic 202 Red Mountain Freeway to Gilbert Road that will take us back up AZ 87 and home.  Even though a short route today, you will sigh and realize that once again you spent a beautiful day with even more beautiful four-ring friends!
