Remember the XGT project by ABT Sportsline and Scherer Sport? It’s effectively a street legal R8 LMS GT2, a super-premium sportscar thus far sold only in Europe (though with hopes of coming to the USA). Well, the car turned up at the latest DTM round at the Nürburgring.
With DTM photos released by ABT Sportsline who also manages the championship leading and R8 LMS GT3-fielding DTM squad, the Audi tuning firm from Kempten, Germany also dropped several images of the XGT complete with Heritage livery pack that would definitely make it a well-matched specimen in the garage of any RS 6 GT owner.
At the Nürburgring, the XGT popped up near ABT’s own pit boxes #14 and #15.
