Find of the Day: Buy Street Outlaws Star Daddy Dave’s Audi A5 Drag Car and He Will Teach You How to Drive It
All of the cars we feature in our Find of the Day segment are special in one way or another. We would be happy to put any one of them in our fantasy garage that never runs out of room. But this one here is easily one of our favorites. Exotic Motorsports of Oklahoma is selling the Audi drag car owned by Daddy Dave known from Street Outlaws. And as if that was not cool enough, Daddy Dave himself will walk you through the details of the car then take it to the track with you.
The car is a 2009 Audi A5 upgraded with a 2014 Audi RS5 front end. But that is not where the modifications end. We usually try to be bit more sophisticated here at Audi Club but the only word to describe this car is badass. How badass? How about 3,500 horsepower and a 1/8-mile time of 3.78 seconds at 201 mph. Yes, it cracks 200 mph in just 660 feet. That is just over two football fields in length to go 200 mph. Insane.
Some highlights of the build include a 4.9 Noonan all billet 540ci Hemi with a massive ProCharger F4-140-1 centrifugal blower. There is also a Nitrous Express system and FuelTech engine management. Handling the power is a TH400 with titanium bellhousing by RPM Transmissions. The suspension uses Hammer Concepts 4-link brackets anti roll bar and strut cups, Penske front air assisted struts, QA1 Mod rear shock and more. Inside there is a Racetech driver seat, 5-point harness with window net, Safety Craft fire suppression, M&M air assisted shifter and more.
The car also comes with a spare PorCharger, brand new rear housing for big tire setup and never used 17-inch-wide wheels. You also get all the specialty tools required to service the engine. And of course the best part is that you get an exclusive meet and greet with Daddy Dave where he will walk you through the details of the car then take it to the track with you. Can you put a price on that?
Well, Exotic Motorsports of Oklahoma did, and it is $425,000. A lot of money to be sure, but do you really want to send your kids to college? And retirement is overrated.
