Race week is finally here! Anticipation has been building over the last several months and the first race of 2026 is just days away. To kick things off, the Audi Revolut F1 Team is taking over AFLOAT, a premium floating bar and cantina on the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne. And that is just one of the several activations around the city.
Audi Revolut F1 Team is taking race week far beyond the track, turning it into a city-wide celebration of motorsport culture. From the Yarra River to local cafés, fuel stations, and running clubs, the team is creating an open platform that lets fans step inside the world of Formula 1 like never before.
AFLOAT
At the heart of the initiative is AFLOAT, a premium floating venue on the Yarra River, acting as the team’s public headquarters throughout the Australian Grand Prix weekend. Open from Thursday onward, AFLOAT serves as a floating fan pavilion where visitors can catch every on-track session live, explore the team’s engineering and design story, and engage directly with the Audi Revolut F1 identity. It’s a bold, immersive way to bring the thrill of F1 to the streets of Melbourne and connect fans with the team beyond the paddock.
Fans visiting the event will get an up-close look at the Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 show car, displayed alongside a piece of Audi’s motorsport legacy: the iconic ‘Crocodile’ Audi R8 LMP, winner of the 2000 “Race of a Thousand Years” in Adelaide.
Other Activations
The experience goes beyond static displays, with interactive racing simulators, a cinematic 180 degree spatial film on Apple Vision Pro, and mission-control–inspired installations. These immersive elements give fans a front-row seat to the technology, precision, and ambition driving the Audi Revolut F1 Team, making it more than just a viewing, it’s a chance to step inside the heart of a Formula 1 project.
Audi Revolut F1 Team is making its Melbourne debut more than just a race-week spectacle, it’s embedding itself into the city’s culture and daily life. From collaborations with local favorites like Nico’s Deli, where drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto crafted signature sandwiches, to co-branded Axil Coffee Roasters locations across the city, the team brings Formula 1 into everyday routines.
Global partners also play a role: bp takes over a fuel station at AFLOAT, Gillette Barber Box offers race-ready grooming, adidas hosts community runs, and Revolut curates sunset DJ sets and a Saturday night after-party.
“Our entry into Formula 1 is not only about competing on track. It is about how we show up as a brand. Melbourne is one of the world’s great Formula 1 cities, and for our first race we wanted to create something open, accessible and culturally connected,” said Stefano Battiston, Chief Commercial Officer of Audi Revolut F1 Team.
