We are all eagerly anticipating the 2026 Formula 1 season, but there is still some racing to take place in 2025. Namely the Gulf 12 Hours coming up this weekend. And according to a report by Sportscar 365, HAAS RT will be bringing a pair of Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo IIs. One will race in the Pro class and one in Pro-Am. They are expected to be the only Audis in the Gulf 12 Hours lineup.
HAAS RT’s Pro entry will run in partnership with South Africa’s Into Africa Racing, led by ELMS LMGT3 champion Axcil Jefferies alongside Xolile Letlaka and Stuart White. Jefferies and Letlaka previously raced together in an Into Africa–backed Ferrari, while White, who joined them at the 24H Barcelona and has experience with Emil Frey and CMR in GT World Challenge Europe, completes the lineup.
HAAS RT’s second car will feature its core drivers: Steven Palette, Simon Balcaen, and Peter Guelinckx. Palette and Balcaen raced for the team at the 24 Hours of Spa, while Guelinckx earned a class win with HAAS RT at the 24H Barcelona. This year, HAAS RT will be Audi’s sole representative in the Gulf 12 Hours, following Audi’s 2024 victory with Sainteloc Racing, which is not expected to return.
