Audi A2/Q2 e-tron Test Mule Spotted Wearing VW ID.3 GTX Body
The fully electric Audi e-tron lineup is expected to expand in 2026. Two of the newcomers are expected to be the Audi A2 e-tron and the Audi Q2 e-tron. A VW ID.3 GTX test mule was spotted recently that we believe is being used to test the platform.
At the time of this writing, we don’t have much confirmed information to go on. But that won’t stop us from speculating a bit. Audi is expected to offer a lower cost car and SUV EV model in 2026. We suspect that will be the A2 e-tron and Q2 e-tron.
Both models will share the modular electric drive (MEB) Entry Platform. This lower cost platform is shorter than the regular MEB platform. What we don’t know yet is what type of power and range we can expect from these new Audi models.
But with the testing underway and the models expected in 2026, we should start to see some actual Audi prototypes running around soon, and we should have a better idea of specifics at that point.
