Audi Sport Customer Racing Teams Celebrate Global Victories with R8 LMS and RS 3 LMS Ahead of Action-Packed Summer Calendar

Audi Sport customer racing teams delivered a dominant performance across continents in late May, collecting overall victories, class wins, and podiums in GT3, GT4, and TCR competition. From the U.S. to Europe and Asia, Audi’s customer teams proved once again that performance and consistency are the hallmarks of the four rings.

GT3: R8 LMS Leads the Charge Around the World

Audi’s GT3 contender, the R8 LMS, showed its strength with major victories and podiums:

  • GT America (Sebring, USA): Memo Gidley earned a hard-fought win in the SKI Autosports R8 LMS, overcoming a 5-second penalty to finish just 0.364 seconds ahead. He followed with a second-place finish in Race 2.
  • 12H Misano (Italy): Team Haas RT claimed overall victory for the second year running. Juta Racing and Continental Racing also landed podium finishes in the GT3-Am class.
  • GT World Challenge Europe (Zandvoort): Multiple Audi teams dominated their respective classes. Saintéloc Racing won Gold, Tresor Attempto Racing took Silver, and the R8 LMS filled multiple podium spots across two races.
  • GT Open (Spa, Belgium): Eastalent Racing’s Haase/Reicher pairing secured second in a grueling 500km race, adding to their second-place finish in Portugal.
  • Additional GT3 podiums came from races in the Italian GT SprintBritish GT CupCentral European GT CupChina GT, and Thailand Super Series, showcasing Audi’s depth of talent and car performance across categories and continents.

TCR: RS 3 LMS Continues its Winning Streak

Audi’s RS 3 LMS delivered across Europe and beyond, with standout performances in multiple TCR championships:

  • TCR Europe (Spa): Teddy Clairet of Clairet Sport secured his first win of the season and now leads the overall standings. His brother Jimmy followed closely in second.
  • TCR Italy (Vallelunga): Nicolas Taylor extended his lead with another win and a third-place finish. Audi drivers dominated the top five, reinforcing the RS 3 LMS’s strength.
  • TCR Italy DSG: Audi swept class wins and rookie victories, with standout performances from Casals Motorsport and Planet Motorsport.
  • TCR UK (Silverstone): Jeff Alden remained unbeaten in the Gen1 class, taking three sprint wins.
  • Belcar Endurance (Zolder): Team VP Racing clinched their class with a two-lap lead.
  • 24H Nürburgring Qualifiers: Audi teams claimed class wins and multiple podiums, with strong efforts from Goroyan RT and others.

GT4: Speedcar Leads the Silver Cup

Audi’s R8 LMS GT4 teams found success at Zandvoort and in Asia:

  • GT4 European Series (Zandvoort): Team Speedcar’s Consani/Lariche duo earned a win and runner-up finish, taking the Silver class championship lead by 13 points.
  • China GT (Shanghai): Incipient Racing placed third in the GTS class, keeping Audi on the podium in Asia.
