Audi Club Auction Watch: 04.24.2025

Hello again Audi aficionados! Thank you for clicking on another edition of Auction Watch where we’ve done the internet searching for you. We’ve checked multiple car auction sites looking for Audi models worthy of your bids. Typically each Thursday we post those listings calling out a car’s highlights and include a few pictures and a link to the listing. Our goal is to help you find the Audi that you’re looking for in time for you to bid on it.
First, just a heads-up, Auction Watch will be taking a break after this week’s edition until May 8th because my navigator and I will be headed out to lead drives for Porsche Club of America at their spring Treffen. I really need to thank all the drive leads I’ve followed (Alex, Chad, Pat, Steen, Ted, and many more) at events like our ACNA National meetings, Georgia Chapter’s Quattro de Mayo, and the Carolinas Chapter’s Treffen for showing me how to be a good lead. Now, what’s up for auction this week?
Just when you think a 1995 RS 2 Avant will be the elder statesman of the week, a 1983 Ur quattro with the Zebra cloth interior (Canadian build per a comment) gets listed. And then another 1983 Ur quattro with the US-spec leather interior pops up at the last minute. There’s another early 2000s Audi from Japan in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Too bad it’s not 25 years old yet. Of course we have the usual handful of TT, R8 (including a 1 of 60 2015 Competition edition), and RS 4 listings this week. One of the latter, a 2008 RS 4 Cabriolet finished in Matte Daytona Gray is my pick of the week. There are two highly modified B5 generation S4s to choose between, do you prefer sedan or avant? Bid quickly, auction ends early this PM! This Phantom Black pearl flagship is equipped with Driver Assistance, Premium, Cold Weather, and Luxury packages. Also inside are Velvet brown fine grain Ash wood trim, an Alcantara headliner, Audi MMI infotainment with navigation, and Bose sound. The twin-turbo 4.0L V8 is factory rated at 420HP/444 lb-ft and bolts to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports no accidents or damage.

Bid quickly, auction ends early mid-PM today! No Reserve. This long roof is painted Moonlight Blue metallic and that’s over a contrasting brown and beige interior with leather seats, dark brown Walnut wood trim, and an Audi Concert CD stereo with B&O sound. The turbocharged 2.0L I4 (220HP/258 lb-ft) connects to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports only one owner and no accidents or damage.
2015 Audi S3 (85,000 Miles)

Bid quickly, auction ends mid-PM today! The exterior of this Prestige trim-level small sedan is Florett Silver metallic and it wears an RS-style black grille, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, and black rear badging. The black interior looks to have given the family dog a few rides. Under the hood lies a 2.0L I4 that now wears an Integrated Engineering intake and intercooler and runs a Unitronic ECU. The 6-speed S tronic also runs an Integrated Engineering TCU tune. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but the driver-side bodywork has been repainted (per the Lemon Squad inspection report which you need to read) and has a gap between 2016 and 2019.
1995 Audi RS 2 Avant (53,000 Miles Shown)

This sporty little Avant was sold new in Germany, spent time in Spain, was purchased by a collector in the Netherlands in circa 2018, and finally imported it to the US in 2024. The color is Vulkanschwarz Pearl and it’s been repainted and touched up in places. The black interior has leather Recaro front sport seats, carbon fiber trim, an aftermarket digital media receiver, A/C that works intermittently, and upholstery separating from the door panel inserts. The turbocharged 2.2L ADU I5 has four valves per cylinder, runs a performance ECU, exhales into a BN Pipes cat-back exhaust, and spins a 6-speed manual. The seller notes that a bulb warning light has been illuminated since the HID headlights were installed.
2008 Audi RS 4 Cabriolet (10,000 Miles)

This drophead coupe with a black soft top is special for a few reasons. Very low mileage for the age, it’s said to be the only example finished in Matte Daytona Gray, and it’s 1 of 333 built for the model year. See comments by RNLabas for a graduate-level education in Audi codes. The black interior has Nappa leather Recaro front seats with contrasting stitching, carbon fiber trim, Audi Navigation Plus, Bluetooth connectivity, and Bose sound. Drivetrain: a 4.2L V8 factory rated at 420HP/317 lb-ft and a 6-speed manual. The Carfax report is clean.
2016 Audi S6 (28,000 Miles)

This low-mileage, full-size, one owner sedan is Florett Silver metallic over a black/Moon Silver interior. It’s equipped with Black Optic and Cold Weather packages. The 4.0L twin-turbo V8 is Audi rated at 450HP/406 lb-ft and bolts to a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports no accidents or damage but the seller notes there is a scratch and damage to the driver side rear door and quarter panel from hitting a stationary object. 2015 Audi R8 competition Coupe (22,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Panther Black Crystal Effect coupe is 1 of 60 competition cars built as a tribute to the Audi R8 LMS racing program. These models received a matte carbon fiber front lip spoiler, canards, mirror caps, side blades, fixed rear wing, and rear diffuser. The black interior has a full leather package with red contrasting stitching, matte carbon fiber trim, Audi Parking System Plus with a back-up camera, and B&O sound. The 5.2L V10 in this spec is Audi rated at 570HP/398 lb-ft, it wears a Fabspeed Motorsport exhaust, and it sends that power to a 7-speed S tronic. Carfax reports six owners and no accidents or damage but the front lip spoiler is damaged.
2008 Audi RS 4 (45,000 Miles)

Another RS 4, this time a sedan in the more common Phantom Black pearl color that’s over a black interior with Nappa leather Recaro front seats with contrasting stitching and carbon fiber trim. The 4.2L V8 (420HP/317 lb-ft) had its intake manifold replaced (or just cleaned per the comments) in September 2020 and it spins a 6-speed manual. An additional set of 19″ wheels wearing Bridgestone Blizzak tires, extra Dynamic Ride Control suspension components, and service records accompany the sale. The Carfax report is clean but a February 2018 paint and bodywork invoice is provided in the photo gallery.
2014 Audi S5 Coupe (130,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This fixed head coupe is painted Monsoon Gray metallic and is impersonating an RS 5 with its front grill badging. The black interior has Nappa leather seats, Carbon Atlas trim, Audi MMI infotainment with Navigation Plus, and B&O sound. The supercharged 3.0L V6 is Audi rated at 333HP/325 lb-ft and spins a 6-speed manual with optional Sport diff. Carfax reports four owners and no accidents or damage.
1983 Audi Ur quattro (52,000 Miles Shown)

Ur quattros typically appear in small groups, let’s see if this nice example starts something. It’s listed as Black (L041) over a brown interior with Zebra cloth seats, door panels and headliner, air conditioning, and an Audi-branded cassette stereo. The selling dealer tells us that the car was stored as part of a collection for a period of time before 2020 and they performed dry-ice cleaning in preparation for the sale. The turbocharged 2.1L I5, rated at 160HP when new, spins a 5-speed manual transaxle with vacuum-operated center and rear differential locks can be engaged by the driver via the console-mounted knob. The Carfax report, for what it’s worth, lists damage to the front end in October 2020. Please read the listing’s comments thoroughly.
2004 Audi A8 (56,000 Kilometers)

Attention Western Canada Chapter members, the Japanese imports continue with this Night Blue pearl over a beige interior with Valcona leather seats, Birch wood trim, a hideaway navigation system, and Bose sound accompanied by Mini Disc and CD changers in the glove compartment. The 4.2L V8 is factory rated at 330HP/317 lb-ft and pairs with a 6-speed Tiptronic. The car is not federalized for the US market.
2017 Audi TTS Coupe (58,000 Miles)

This Daytona Gray pearl over black coupe is equipped with optional Fine Nappa leather seats with diamond-stitched centers, Technology and 20” wheel packages, B&O sound, and red brake calipers. The turbocharged 2.0L I4 is factory rated at 292HP/280 lb-ft and pairs with a 6-speed S tronic. The Carfax report is clean, lists only one owner, but it looks like all four wheels are curbed.
2014 Audi R8 V10 Spyder (23,000 Miles)

It’s yet another low-mileage R8 V10 Spyder, this one in Brilliant Red with a black soft top and an RS-style grill. The black interior has a Diamond Stitch Full Leather Package, carbon Sigma trim, B&O sound, a Rennline magnetic phone mount, a Bluetooth connectivity module, and an Escort radar detector. The 5.2L V10 is Audi rated at 525HP/391 lb-ft and pairs with a 7-speed S tronic. A car cover, the removed OEM grille, a battery tender, and service records come with the sale. Carfax reports four previous owners from coast-to-coast and no accidents or damage.
2002 Audi S4 Avant (117,000 Miles)

The color of this B5 long roof is listed as silver but it’s a Glacier Blue wrap you’re looking at in the photo gallery. Note the stance, that’s your second hint this car is modified, extensively. This may have the longest mod list we’ve ever seen on Auction Watch so please read the listing for all the details. From a seller’s comment, “Its a full stage 3 car with KO4’s estimated to be making around 400 (at the) wheel.” It rides on an Air Lift Performance 3P/H air suspension system hence the trunk’s equipment. Carfax reports damage from an accident with another motor vehicle in November 2009 but no further details. Also an open recall #69CJ for the Driver Front Airbag Inflator.
2013 Audi S6 (130,000 Miles)

This Ibis White full-size sedan is unmodified. The black interior has diamond-stitched Valcona leather seats, a Cold Weather Package, and Bose sound. The twin-turbo 4.0L V8 under the hood is Audi rated at 420HP/406 lb-ft and bolts to a 7-speed S tronic with a Sport diff. Carfax reports an accident with another motor vehicle in November 2016 resulting in minor damage to the front, plus two open recalls: #21H7 Oil Strainer and #74D5 Passenger Occupant Detection System.
2006 Audi TT Roadster 3.2 Special Edition (60,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Of the handful of these 1 of 99 special editions built to commemorate the Isle of Man TT race we’ve seen on Auction Watch, this one is in the worst condition. It has numerous flaws, please read the Known Flaws section of the listing and look through all the photos in the gallery. It’s painted Quartz Gray metallic with a black soft top over an interior featuring Amber Red seats with Baseball optics which are in very bad shape. The 3.2L V6, Audi rated at 250HP/236 lb-ft, connects to 6-speed DSG. Carfax reports six owners but no accidents or damage.
2002 Audi S4 (169,000 Miles)

No Reserve. Lightning strikes twice in B5 S4 land but this time it’s an extensively modified Light Silver metallic sedan. This one’s twin-turbo 2.7L V6 is also reportedly modified to near stage 3 level, please read the listing for all the details. Inside are Recaro front seats sourced from a B6 S4, Birdseye Maple wood trim, a sagging headliner, a broken hinge on the center armrest, a right rear window regulator that needs replacing, and a staticky left rear speaker. The Carfax report is clean.
2020 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (12,000 Miles)

Here’s a relatively new Audi halo car to consider, an Ibis White example with striking Express Red seats, door panels, and center console much like the 2018 RWS series have. The only mods are tinted side marker lenses and windows and a hard to miss red engine brace over the 5.2L V10 (562HP/406 lb-ft). A 7-speed S tronic and quattro drive complete the drivetrain. Carfax reports two owners, no accidents or damage, and that paint protection film was applied in March 2020 when new which is not mentioned in the listing.
1983 Audi Ur quattro (144,000 Miles Shown)

As foretold, here’s another Ur quattro and like many there are a lot of mods. The highlights for the 2.1L I5 a Dialynx Performance intercooler, a Turbonetics Performance K26 Stage 2 turbocharger, a 2Bennett Audimotive manifold and 3″ downpipe, an adjustable camshaft gear, and an upgraded bypass valve. In the chassis and body departments there are coilovers, a 21mm rear sway bar, Wilwood front brakes, 17” OZ Racing wheels (wearing old snow tires), Euro-spec headlights, and a later-style grille. The Zermatt Silver exterior has been repainted in many places and still needs more for failing clearcoat. The interior has dark brown leather seats, a shift lever for the 5-speed manual, a Blaupunkt stereo (with a Bazooka base tube in the trunk), and extra gauges (see listing for details).
2011 Audi R8 V10 Coupe (18,000 Miles)

No Reserve. This Type 42 coupe is a three-time BaT lister. It last sold in June 2023 for $138,596. Since then it’s done about 3k miles, had XPEL paint protection film applied in February 2024 with black film added to the roof. It previously wore an aftermarket honeycomb grille and a Hofele-Design carbon-fiber front lip. Please read the listing for other service done under current ownership. It’s Ibis White with carbon fiber rear diffuser, side blades, mirror caps over a black interior which has carbon Sigma trim and an aftermarket infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. The 5.2L V10 (525HP/319 lb-ft) spins the desirable 6-speed manual. The Carfax is clean and shows six owners.
2019 Audi RS 5 Sportback (98,000 Miles)

This shade of white is the more subdued Glacier White metallic and it’s over an interior that features Moon Silver Fine Nappa leather seats with Rock Gray stitching. The car’s also equipped with Black Optic, RS Driver Assistance, and Dynamic packages, dynamic steering, and B&O 3D sound. The 2.9L twin-turbo V6 is Audi rated at 444HP/443 lb-ft and bolts to an 8-speed Tiptronic. Carfax reports three owners and no accidents or damage.
