Join us for a Member’s Meeting in Tucson followed by a Drive ‘n Dine up to the 9,159-foot summit of Mt. Lemmon, the highest point in the Santa Catalina Mountains.
We’ll start with a brief Member’s Meeting to discuss upcoming events, Board of Directors openings, and volunteer opportunities. You’ll also have the chance to connect with fellow members and hear updates from the National Audi Club.
The Drive:
After the meeting, we’ll depart Audi Tucson and drive to Sawmill Run Restaurant on Mt. Lemmon (12976 N Sabino Canyon Park, Mt. Lemmon, AZ 85619) for a group lunch. Reservations are at 12:30 PM, and separate checks will be provided for food orders.On the way up or down the mountain, we plan to stop at a scenic pull-out vista for a group photo, depending on our timing.
Post-Lunch Activities:
After lunch, you may want to:
Browse the mountain’s charming gift shops (one is famous for its fudge).
Bring a sled if there’s snow on the ground – it is Quattro Season after all.
Optional Overnight Stay:
For those interested in spending the night, the Mount Lemmon Lodge is a new hotel. While they typically require a 2-night minimum stay on Fridays and Saturdays, they’ve advised calling one or two days in advance to check availability for single-night stays if they are not fully booked.
Driving Experience:
The road to Mt. Lemmon is an exhilarating drive, offering tight twists, switchbacks, and short straightaways through stunning western scenery. With dramatic rock formations, box canyons, and 360-degree views, it’s a challenging and unforgettable drive—especially when the road is clear.
Fun Fact:
Mt. Lemmon is named after botanist Sara Plummer Lemmon, who trekked to the summit on horseback and foot in 1881.
