Ajax, ON (March 13, 2024) – Electrify Canada announced today the opening of two new charging stations and one coming soon in New Brunswick, marking the network’s expansion into the province. Located in convenient locations and near amenities, the charging stations in Grand Falls, Saint John, and Woodstock each feature next-generation Direct Current (DC) fast chargers. The Grand Falls and Woodstock stations will feature solar canopies, providing shade and shelter while capturing energy to power the canopy lighting.

“Electrify Canada’s expansion into a new province underscores our dedication to propelling the electric vehicle future forward,” said Ben Moore, senior manager, site development & construction at Electrify Canada and Electrify America. “We are thrilled to provide hyper-fast charging for EV drivers in New Brunswick, marking a significant step in our mission to support the demands and growing community of EV drivers in Canada.”

The Plug & Charge enabled Electrify Canada network operates in six provinces – Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and now New Brunswick  – with plans to expand to Nova Scotia later in 2024.

New Electrify Canada locations in New Brunswick:

  • Grand Falls, Canadian Tire, 383 Chemin Madawaska
  • Woodstock, Carleton Mall, 370 Connell Street
  • Saint John, Canadian Tire, 400 Westmorland Rd – coming soon

On the heels of recent expansion in Alberta (Lethbridge and Red Deer), British Columbia (Langley), and Saskatchewan (Regina), the openings in New Brunswick are an important step toward Electrify Canada’s plan to serve EV drivers throughout Canada.

The company recently announced a new pricing structure featuring kilowatt-hour billing that allows customers to pay for the amount of energy used to charge their EV. Charging sessions can be managed through the user-friendly Electrify Canada mobile app enabling contactless payment and session tracking on their smartphone. In addition, customers can also pay by credit card at the charging station and will have access to Electrify Canada’s 24-hour Customer Contact Center.

As part of the company’s commitment to broaden charging solutions for EV drivers today and in the future, Electrify Canada announced it will add the North American Charging Standard (NACS)connector to its fast charging network.
