It’s curious how decisions you make affect your life in completely unexpected ways that go
unnoticed for years. Audis had been on my radar for years; I had watched the quattro drive train
transform from an expensive high performance curiosity in the original Coupe quattro into the
elegant, practical and truly premium 100s and 200s of 1989. Finally, I purchased my first Audi, a 200 Turbo quattro, in January of 1990 because I was tired of being unable to get to my house
after work if it snowed in our eastern Pennsylvania hills and realized that this was the
civilized and entertaining-to-drive alternative to a truck I had been seeking...
