The Golden Gate Chapter has secured Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway for a very special and unique event. Friday March 16th has been reserved for all Audi Club Golden Gate Members that are high intermediate (C-Level), advanced (D-Level), or are ACGG instructors. As always, we expect that the day will be both exciting and fun, but this event has the added benefit of also serving as a training course for all C&D students, who wish to become certified instructors. Cost of the event is $299.00.
Laguna Seca is a 2.24 mile professional race track with significant elevation changes, slow and fast corners, and the corkscrew, one of the most famous turns in all of motor racing. When you combine the track, the location, and favorable weather of Northern California, you have the recipe for a great driving & learning experience. This Advanced Driver and Instructor Certification Clinic will give you an opportunity to improve your driving skills and learn more about your car's capabilities in an exciting & complex environment.
All student drivers (C/D) must have been solo'd at a previous ACGG event at the C or D level. Additionally these drivers must have received positive evaluations from previous instructors. If you have not been solo'd at a C level at an ACGG event you will not qualify to attend.
In addition to the three run groups for the day (C-Intermediate, D-Advanced, and Instructor) there will be an instructor certification clinic being conducted during the event.
To insure that we will deliver the highest quality of instruction, we are limiting the number of "Instructor Candidates" to a maximum of 8 individuals. Again, if you are interested in becoming an instructor, and you wish to attend this event as an instructor candidate, you must be pre-approved for the instructor training prior to registering for the event.
Registration for this event is limited to 25 per group so don't hesitate to click the link below. Registration for this event will close on March 14th, 2012.
To truly enjoy this picturesque location, you should plan to spend the weekend in Monterey, where you can enjoy wineries, shopping, galleries, and more.
