SPIRAL HIGHWAY / RATTLESNAKE GRADE – June 11-12, 2011 Clarkston, WA/Lewiston, ID.
The Spiral Highway / Rattlesnake Grade Toure will be held in Clarkston, WA and Lewiston, ID on Sat-Sun, June 11-12 2011. This event promises to deliver driving excitement along with exceptional scenic views, including the Clearwater and Snake River valleys, Rattlesnake Pass, and the Grand Ronde River valley.
This event will showcase the Spiral Highway, a 10 mile stretch of driving delight with hairpin turns tucked into a 2000 foot elevation change, just north of Lewiston. The Spiral Highway was repaved a few years ago, and it is an excellent highway with very little traffic, and affords more relaxing twists and turns. This road was the original highway from Lewiston to Pullman, and is very twisty in the upper 2/3.
Also featured will be the Rattlesnake Grade, 18 miles of highway with over 110 turns and a 900 foot elevation change, just 30 miles south of Clarkston. The Rattlesnake Grade is a much longer and tighter curved road which twists and turns for many miles leading into and out of the Grande Ronde River valley.
Registration for both of these events is open now at www.audiclubnw.motorsportreg.com and more detailed information is available there as well.
