Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant HPDE
October 2-3, 2010
If you’ve never driven Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, then it should be on your list of "must drive" tracks. If you’ve had the pleasure of having driven this track before, then you know how fun and delightfully challenging it is! Le Circuit, a safe (FIA approved) 2.65 mile long track set in the hills of Mont-Tremblant, offers a variety of driving sensations. There’s the kink at the end of the front straight, followed by turn 2 which is an off-camber turn...
at the crest of a short steep hill, then the right-hander turn 3 leading into the esses. The challenge here is to drive all the way from down the front straight through the first 3 turns before braking for turn 4. Turn 6 is a fast left- hand sweeper, followed by turn 7 which is off-camber. Then it’s down into the carousel, accelerating up the long back straight with it’s hump in the middle (turn 9). Turn 12 is aptly called "the bridge turn" as the track goes under a bridge and up a small hill, which then leads you to turn 14, a hairpin called Namrow.
There’s also something for the whole family here with many resort hotels, spas and boutiques, golf courses, hiking, biking, and many other activities both on the Lake Tremblant and on the mountain. Combine this with the famous Québec hospitality and wonderful food anywhere you go and it’s a treat for everyone. This time of year is also peak fall foliage season adding another dimension of enjoyment.
